This saved my rear end yesterday! I had a blockage in an old septic drain line, which I installed years ago for an RV, and never actually used. I sent the camera down the pipe, and realized I had a Y in there, which had gotten damaged further down the line, and gophers had filled the old abandoned portion of the Y, and the portion of the line I was trying to work with. I was able to dig up the line at exactly the Y, clean it out, and replace the Y with a coupling. Since I didn't even know the Y was in there I would never have thought of this. As for the device itself, it works great, its easy to charge, and I'm glad it has a built in video screen, instead of relying on my phone.

I too, had pulled the SD card, plugged it in to my dell laptop, copied photos and that's the last time it worked. An Amazon CSR and seller are both trying to help through this. I give her & the seller 5 stars. The photo is down in my well 40'. While pulling the downpipes, ejector & footvalve assembly, the rigging failed and sent everything down 40' where it became lodged. The camera shot from the unit clearly shows my tools, Craftsman adjustable & a 9/16 ratcheting combination wrench, 2 wood dowel rods, a tie wrap, a section of downpipe. My family had no water when the camera stopped working. The seller responded, I explained my issue and 1.4 days later I had a complete, new unit arrive. Thank you !!! Now that's great CS !!!

I got this camera to inspect a drain pipe in my house. The camera wire has a rigid bit inside the wire but its only slightly more rigid than a twist tie thing for your bread. At about 10feet the wire is no longer able to push itself forward. I attached is it a metal pipe snake and got it in there about 25ft and was able to remedy my drain issue. The real bummer on this thing though is the plastic screen. I rolled up the pipe snake and camera to set them aside and finish cleaning up. I came back and I had cracked the screen just by setting everything in a pile. This makes it now unusable. Considering this is designed for inspections or use in the WORKPLACE more than sitting around in a clean safe environment I would expect the screen to be more durable. Luckily I finished my work before the camera was ruined but super disappointed to only get one use out of a $100 item. If the screen is intentionally this fragile I would suggest they could include a cloth bag or something to store it in when not in use.

I think if you were using this for other purposes, it would be a great tool. I tried to use it to check out my shower drain and once it hit the water in the pipe, the image was cloudy and I could not really see what was going on. This is something that other reviewers mentioned and I should have listened before I bought it. In addition, the camera's wire which is 50 ft. long, is really flimsy. You can control for about two feet of length but anything more than that is impossible to feed into the drain. If you are inspecting something with curves that is deep, good luck. I got about 2.5 feet into my drain and the wire started to coil up. Otherwise, the camera is good quality. Screen is great. Easy to use, but the coiling, uncontrollable wire makes this device worthless to me to inspect my home's drains. Oh and good luck rolling up the wire after using it. Egads.

This endoscope works ok. I needed something to inspect a 4" PVC sewer/drain line. First, the cable is not stiff enough to move through the pipe more than about 10 feet before it no longer wants to move and just bunches up. I had to tape it to a fish tape to get it any further into the pipe. Second, the lens got debris on it, and the picture became blurry. The pipe I was inspecting had not been used in days, so most all the debris had been cleared. There was a small amount of slime at the bottom of the pipe, and the lens got slime on it quickly, resulting in a cloudy picture. I think this endoscope may work just fine for other applications, but for inspecting a sewer/drain line for more than 5-10 feet or so, it is not up to the task. Without debris, the image is very good, so I gave it 3 stars.

This is my 2nd endoscope, and this is a better quality one. The functions on it are more simplified then the previous one I got, easier to take pictures or record, and the settings are really accessible. I love that it allows you to a zoom, or rotate the screen. The light added to the camera is more superior than the last one, it has a dimable knob to increase/decrease brightness. It comes with a 8g SD card and attachesble tools to the camera. They are very useful and does not obstruct the camera vision much. I didn't realize I got the 50 ft cord, but proved to be useful, especially running it down a dryer vent. The picture quality is great, figure my phone recording, doesn't do it justice. The unit only took me 15-20 to charge, and has a lanyard attachment option. Overall, happy with this buy!

First, this is not an industrial strength, professional grade endoscope. It's a decent camera with LED adjustable lighting on the end of a 50 foot ¼ inch cable...all attached to a small GameBoy type of screen. It saved me time and money this weekend. The on screen directions are easy to use, very easy to use. The unit is light weight, and charges with a USB cable. The charge held for over three hours of use for me, though I was shutting it off when not in use. The majority of complaints I read before buying it was about the rigidity of the cable... don't expect a lot from this cable. It will not push through a 4 inch pipe, making turns and bends around corners for 50 feet. The trick is to secure the end to a cable snake (I used a zip tie) letting the snake be ahead of the camera by a few inches. This gave the rigidity the camera cable didn't have. I was able to camera 25 feet of pipe easily as long as the snake was able to make the bends. The 50 foot cable would do well in a ¾ inch conduit pipe but not a 4 inch sewer line. The one thing that I think is a downside is that the cable is permanently attached to the unit. It would be nice to interchange with a shorter cable if needed.

I have been fighting with a washer drain backing up into my sink every time I did laundry for the past 2 years...after trying everything...Draino, drain snakes, nothing worked. I decided to try this so I could hopefully see what was going on and sure enough, the camera picked up a nasty clog about 12 feet down the pipe. What you want to do is attach the camera to the end of a drain snake (about an inch or so below the barb) with some duct tape, that will allow you to snake it through bends easily. You will be surprised to see all the nasty grease and junk that is in your pipes! I was able to clear the clog by running the camera and drain snake down to the clog, and while running water I could twist the snake and keep working it up and down until it broke free (you can see this all play out in real time on the screen its pretty cool actually). Now I can do laundry with no backups! Highly recommend this camera!

Display gone. It is not waterproof. Wrote a complaint but they did not get back.
