How long does the smell last?!

Not long at all !!! Less than a week and the scent was very very mild ... I wouldn’t waste your money .

Very much depends on how sensitive your sense of smell is.

Do these take a musty smell away from an old chest of drawers, please?

No. I had the cucumber ones and could hardly smell them - We had the same issue with an old wardrobe and bicarbonate of soda or the laundry scent beads in a little mesh bag will work wonders :)
