UPDATE 11/30/2025 - Received a replacement and plugged in and worked perfectly. There were no instructions with the device, but pretty straightforward to use. Just plug it in the SFP+ and it was up and running. Great transceiver at a good price. ------------------------------------- I was excited to try the SFP+ transceiver but when I opened the box it was empty with no transceiver inside. Looks like a return that sent it back. I sent it back for a replacement. I will update my review when I receive and actual transceiver.

These worked exactly as expected. As others have noted, they do run hot, but in an open area the heat dissipates without any real problems. My home network now operates with the bandwidth that was my goal.

They work just fine. Make sure that you match your transceivers on the same run of fiber. That means, they should be the EXACT same transceiver on both ends of the same cable. Otherwise, you may have different light frequencies and they won't communicate with each other. Simple plug and play, self powered through your device and should last a long time.

Item is not compatible with certain Intel cards, because if you use Intel equipment. It will either not work at all, or if you do happen to get it to work, it will only link at 1gb. Tried a different module, and instantly connected at 10gb. Update- 7/15/2025 Even after I had returned the transceiver, 10gtek messaged me about the compatibility issues. They were confident they could fix the compatibility issue. So even tho i had already returned the transceiver and gotten my money back, they asked for my address and mailed me another model to try, FOR FREE!!! And it works perfectly. Get consistent 10gb speeds with over 50ft of ethernet, great transceiver. And my hat off to 10gbtek, I have never had this level of support AFTER a return. They are quick to answer questions, and will not stop helping you until your issue is solved. THANK YOU 10GTEK!!!!! Best customer service I have seen in this day and age.

These worked right away, I am happy with the price, the quality and the compatibility on my Unifi switches. I didn't have to really do anything other than plug them in and run the fiber optic cable. The LC connections were stable and it firmly connected. Hard to beat the price, its definitely less expensive than buying them from the manufacturer. They fit perfectly and the temp monitoring seems to be great.

I have bought these recently and in the past. My oldest one is a couple years old. So they hold up and they do what is advertised…. I have them in my Ubiquiti switches that have 10GbIt SFP slots.

Works, plug and play, Omada 10Gb switch and 10Gb Intel network card.
