There’s no doubt that my workday became more productive as a result of applying his principle.
There’s no doubt that my workday became more productive as a result of applying his principles.I had the awesome opportunity to hear Joshua speak at a live event. While the book really captures his dynamic, exciting and funny speaking style, it’s just quite not the same when you’ve seen the real thing so that’s the reason for which I’m deducting a star; probably not fair though... While the book is full of useful ideas, there isn’t of course the the back and forth volleying of audience participation. A great summary of great speaking points but I wish the book had been longer. There’s more than enough explanation though for you to understand the key concepts, which definitely and completely change your approach to organizing your work day and dealing with high stress situations. But if you can see Joshua deliver these concepts live, that’s even better.

Life is too short to miss this book
I thought I was pretty darn productive and efficient in my life. I read over 50 books a year and I've written a few too. I run three businesses, have three kids, and still found a way to learn to speak three languages as an adult. I've got David Allen's stuff and Stephen Covey's stuff and I've attended seminars and worked with executive coaches and the whole nine yards. Joshua Seth's book still made me feel stupid. I was surprised by everything I didn't know. Besides that, his writing style is so direct and to the point that it makes even the techniques I've heard of before SEEM new and exciting and fresh. When you spend some time with this man via the text in his book, his energy will rub off on you. Trust me. You want that.

5 Thumbs Up - Get this and start your journey to a more focused day
The book covers a variety of approaches to trimming away the distractions in a down to earth tone (both in audio and in the kindle version) and in a very relatable way. Though Joshua is a world renown speaker and entertainer (which is how I first heard of him), even his schedule and values as he describes them are organized around the important things in life, in a full and balanced way. Some of the techniques might be very new to some people, others might give you a bit of an Ah-Ha moment, and others might just be reinforcements to behavior you already know is important. Because of this, Joshua gives a variety of techniques that one can apply right away, without necessarily the need for extra research and learning outside of the book. But, some subjects covered might require you to do more self examination, work and research. For example, when I started this book, I was able to come to terms with the fact that I needed a better way to organize my physical and digital files. So, I spent some time and learned a bit more about properly intaking information. I did this by reading the best seller, Getting Things Done, by David Allen. This helped me get more in depth and figure out how to be more physically organized, which helped my personal and mental focus.Long story short, I think just about anyone can get a lot of value out of this book, and if you adopt just one technique from it to improve your life, then it will have been worth it.

Wow, incredibly helpful book!
As with everything Joshua Seth does, this book is excellent! I have seen him perform several times, and he's got a mastery with people- and when I heard he was writing this book, I wanted to see if it translated in is writing as well. I wasn't disappointed. Very easy to read, excellent points, vivid illustrations, and just a touch of humor. No doubt, it's a busy world out there- Joshua Seth's new book is a beacon to help navigate daily life with success. Thanks for writing this!

Book is good I'm sure Audio will be better!
I first met Joshua on a cruise ship and at that time I got his tapes to help you loose weight. I did loose 30 lbs which was great and that was about 5 years ago. Sorry to say that I have put about 15 of that back on. Since I am planning another Cruise in January I will be reviewing my Original tapes to bring my eating habits back to what worked before. I have purchased an read about 1 half of the book and find it very good. But I really have to say I am more into audio books and would certainly like to review this audio "Finding Focus in a busy world.

Focus is about what we all need: FOCUS
I am an experienced hypnotist, therapist, performer, and have retired from two demanding professions so I think I know how to focus. And, I do! But I still learned a great deal from this book. Be sure and give the meditation ides a chance. At least download the music and listen to it. You will improve your success rate at everything you do after reading Focus.

Get over the "stuff" that's hindering your focus–read it and follow the directions!
This book answers the question "why am I unfocused?" in a kind yet very direct way. We are unfocused because of "stuff"(or baggage, or issues, or mental/physical clutter)–both internal and external –that gets in the way of our objective. And what is our objective, anyway? Success. And what is success? Joshua Seth answers these questions and helps you get over your "stuff" with easy to do actions. I give this book my highest recommendation.
