I love this wine bottle opener as much as I love to see the Peak Reserve staff dancing publicly in my honor. The product works great and is so easy to use even my mother-in-law can use it! I will never use another wine bottle opener.

Buyer Beware! We were excited to get our new wine opener, but after using it just 3 times it is not working! This unit is expensive, over rated and with bad customer service, not worth purchasing! We just wasted our money.The chrome cap that caps the top of the spiral hook mechanism keeps popping out upon depressing the handle. But that's not the real problem as it can be screwed back on.Now with multiple tries every time to open wine bottle, all that happens that upon depressing the handle, the spiral hook punches holes in the cork (as expected) and upon raising the handle it just simply extracted the spiral hook from the cork without the cork budging from the wine bottle, basically rendering it a hole puncher.After contacting customer service after we have owned it only 7 weeks they will not repair or replace this unit. Satisfactory. Not as high quality as some versions.

Worked fine for a bit then starting working not as well. Lever opener started to stick after a few months, takes a couple tries to open a wine bottle, then leaves the cork 1/4 inch in, forces you to pull it out without lever advantage. Foil cutter works great.

Makes the job very easy

It doesn't get any easier than this....Twist the foil cutter around the top of your wine bottle, pull up the handle on the opener and place your wine under the "screw"...push the handle down and pull upwards to dislodge the cork...drink your wine. Very minimal strength (really none) needed....a small child or very elderly person could easily operate this opener. The opener is also very nicely made, has a nice storage case and should last for years to come.

I have had other bottle openers with the similar design with out any problems, but unfortunately, this one would either push the cork into the bottle, or screw into the cork only to screw back out when lifting the lever. The seller was VERY responsive and sent a replacement and I had it within a couple days only to have the same experience. After opening dozens of bottles with other brand lever openers with identical design as the Peak Reserve, I am confident the problems aren't due to operator error. The seller was great, but the product was awful and I returned.

When it works, it's great. But it is unpredictable. Sometimes, all it does is make a hole in the cork, and after repeated efforts, it just pushes the cork through into the bottle. Very frustrating. I'm sticking to my early-Neanderthal simple corkscrew.
