Beautiful watch for a great price
Alpina watches are upper entry-level swiss watches that give you a lot of bang for your buck. They've also done very well holding their value over the last few years. The Alpina Extreme Diver I bought 5 or so years ago has since doubled in value. And at just over $1,000, this Startimer Heritage Chronograph is a fantastic deal. The design is retro (thus the "heritage" label) and handsome and the level of quality is excellent. The dial is silver with a brushed finish. In most light it looks warm and creamy and contrasts beautifully against the matte gray (anthracite?) sub-dials.The strap is quality but not my favorite color or texture. On a watch like this, my preference is a strap that looks a little more aged/worn so I may end up replacing the stock strap but I can't say it's a knock against the overall value of the watch. Beyond the aesthetic, I think the coolest feature is that the chronograph function uses just one pusher to start, stop, and reset.Somebody's 1-star review claims that you can find this watch cheaper elsewhere but doing a quick search, both Jomashop ($1,900) and Ashford ($1,400), two well-known and well-respected gray market dealers, are selling this same model for significantly more. My watch didn't come with a box or papers (and at least one other review mentioned they didn't receive a box or papers either) and I imagine that accounts for some of the disparity in pricing. Even without a box this is still a heck of a value. But beware! Amazon shipped my watch in a BAG with very little padding *mind boggles*. Luckily it wasn't damaged during shipping.

Good deal
Beatiful watch, heavy, solid with personality. Easy to read and exelente price and deal without the box and instructions I don't pretend to sell it so I don't care the box but the price better than any in 3 digits.Just I'm worried for the chronometer push bottom, I'm not sure it's work correctly that why I'm give 4 stars only and I don't see many reviews about this watch online or in YouTube.

Very high price for this brand.
$1000 overpriced! You can find the same watch cheaper on google after a 30 second search. Don’t be fooled.

What is not to like... learn about the brand
Did purchase some time ago and have enjoyed. This is not a junk watch it is a real timepiece that should be enjoyed. Spend 5 minutes leaning about the brand and the movement, don't be confused by people who don't know watches or horology and google old news or price. While I did opt out of the stock band and replaced with an alligator deployment band, I receive many compliments about this watch, it keep excellent time, and is worth many times what I paid for it.

Wow
This is a lot nicer than the photos would have you believe. Strangely, it was shipped from Amazon in a plastic bag with a tiny amount of bubble wrap and arrived in OK condition. I'm not sure what to think of that, but it was missing all of the usual swag you receive when you buy a watch (such as a manual, box, any kind of paperwork etc). The packaging (or lack thereof) was Alpina branded though. Hrmm.Either way, the watch is a winner. The watch case is very nicely put together and comfortable on the wrist. To discover more about the movement, you need to contact Alpina directly.Highly recommended.
