Clear and useful for basic readers. Has lots of useful and clear examples and touches lots of topics.

Best $25 I’ve spent on a book in a long time. The author makes the AI world understandable in basic terms and covers areas I need in my work life. Highly recommended to anyone needing a basic knowledge of the world of AI in simple terms.

AI is a very esoteric subject. People like myself who work in finance and deal with tech companies all the time will not have the required software, data engineering, and mathematical background to gain a technical expertise. AI requires a technical expertise to understand, it’s not very simple to “dumb down” as it is inherently sophisticated. I think the author makes an excellent attempt to simplify these concepts so it’s more accessible but he fails to do so, however I can’t blame him. If you don’t understand a concept, I suggest using ChatGPT to help you break the concept down and be able to ask specific questions. The book provided a foundation and explanation, while ChatGPT answered all the specific questions I had so I could clarify any confusion and understand the technology at a deeper level. I find it funny how I’m using AI to understand AI. Nevertheless it’s a great book as it’s short, concise, and will give you the necessary introduction you need.

Had the opportunity to knock this out in one weekend -- Tom is a tech entrepreneur and fantastic Forbes contributor. For any executives or decision-makers out there kicking the tires on an AI project or frankly for anyone interested in this fascinating technology and how it can improve their operation, check this one out. It's an introduction to AI written from a non-technical perspective, so personally right up my alley -- and I know there are many business leaders and entrepreneurs in a similar spot. A great takeaway right from the outset of the book: "Soon, the information contained in this book won't be merely a topic of interest; it will be a prerequisite for participation in the modern economy." A value-add for sure.

Tom Taulli breaks down the industry jargon in simple terms so that you can actually understand the history behind the AI movement and how terms like machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and big data all fit together. His writing is clearly organized, and he provides the examples that anyone needs to understand how AI and its associated technologies will shape the future. Highly recommended!

Not a text but a manual that helps understand the intricacies of machine intelligence. Best for someone who already knows the basics. A helpful guide and reference more than a text.

In general it was a great read, if you're wanting a broad overview of AI its worth the short page count. It focuses more on the business and application ideas of AI with broad technical concepts thrown in here and there. If youre looking for something more technical you may want to try another but definitely a great infomational book on AI.
