Skip Hop Toddler Backpack, Zoo Preschool Ages 3-4, Bulldog

This was a diaper bag on our gift registry, so we were excited to get it. We had done a lot of research on diaper bags, and this bag seemed to meet all the demands we had and offered good style;When we started using the bag, we found it easy to use, with more than enough space; We also appreciated the hooks to hang it onto a stroller handle; The bag looked reasonably well made, and we were excited to use it. Only negative about the bag was the bottle storage area is very tiny; it only holds the bottle, and really cannot hold ice pack to keep milk cold;In about three months the zipper started to get stuck while opening/closing bag; I would get it unstuck multiple times on the flap that covers the zipper; but my girlfriend was getting annoyed at this problem. Finally she contacted the company about this issue and sent them a video showing the problem. The zipper was stuck and would not close; The next day, she tried to close zipper again, and this time the zipper just broke. After not getting a response from company after a week or two, she contacted company again, and was advised that they would be sending us refund check, instead of replacing bag.Meanwhile we had to resort to using another bag in lieu of the diaper bag. While we appreciate the refund offer, it would have been better to just get another new bag; It seems that maybe the company has gotten too many requests for defective zippers and may not be interested in replacing them.Although we liked the bag, we will likely replace it with a bag from another brand to avoid having zipper issues, as it is highly inconvenient to not have use of a bag while company figures out what do. They need better customer service.

This is a super cute backpack! I love all the animals that the backpack comes in, especially the zebra, raccoon, penguin, bee, and giraffe. I generally try to keep things gender-neutral for my son... I can't stand all the footballs, baseballs, dinosaurs, cars, trucks, and airplanes that are plastered all over boys' products. There is a great selection of gender-neutral backpacks in this line, and they're all adorable. We ended up going with the giraffe, since both my husband and I liked it. Our son is too young (22 months) to have a preference in the animal character we bought, but he still loves this backpack. It's a little big for him in that when he carries it on his back it's almost as big as he is, but he still loves it and we keep it light enough to where it doesn't topple him over. It's been great for carrying stuff to daycare during the week and even when we go out on the weekend. It hasn't replaced his diaper bag, but he keeps a couple of toys/books in there that he wants.Overall, this is a product that I would recommend. It appears to be durable, although I should have thought about the light color of the giraffe print. The light cream color has already gotten dirty, but it seems like the material is easy enough to wipe clean.

The Skip Hop backpacks are incredibly cute, and have such a variety to choose from. They have one cup holder, which I would not do without, and one small pocket, besides for the main compartment. These are not school-sized backpacks. My toddlers each have one.I first use them for a diaper bag. Much better size for me than those ginormous whopper bags that can hold an entire box of diapers. They fit a few dipes, wipes, an outift, cup, changing pad, baby food. No problem for a baby day bag. When they start walking well, VOILA, you have the option to strap the diaper bag onto your child. I have heard people use something similar for twins, to help out.After that (or alternating with using it as a diaper bag), they work for an overnight bag, a little bag for THEM to pack with their special things for trips, and whatever.Con: Once these are dingy, there isn't much turning back. I have surface-washed my son's, which helped some. I wish I could machine wash it.

Love this bag. I can fit everything I need for a new baby and a toddler into it. I previously had a jujube bag which worked great for one baby, but I couldn’t fit additional items I needed to carry around for two. I love the way it opens up and all the pockets. I do wish that the backpack straps were padded and that it had little rubber or metal feet on the bottom to protect it a bit, but other than that it is great! I would strongly recommend this bag!

Great diaper backpack. Nicer looking than your average diaper backpack. Can fit A LOT. One flaw that the hooks to hang the bag to the stroller are made of plastic, which makes me hesitant to hang it as much as i would like. Metal hooks would make this the perfect diaper backpack. The stay open top plus versatility is mainly why i chose this so Im pleased with my purchase.

My 20 month old loves it and so do I. Haven't taken it on our trip yet but we do own other Skip Hop items that have held up very well. I originally planned on getting the Skip Hop Zoo Safety Harness but with comparison between the two the backpack it is just slightly larger. My daughter is 34 in tall and the bag sits just slightly over her bottom ( but it's not overwhelming on her ) . I plan on adding my own harness that can detach ( to be used only at our international airport) It's always crazy busy there.FYI: If you don't care about brands you can get JiaYou Unisex Baby Kid Casual PU Bag Daypack Animal Style Schoolbags Backpack for about half the price. I don't know the quality but ran across it when I was looking for a matching rolling luggage for the skip hop backpack.

Brought this for my son who is soon to be starting to go to a childcare setting.It’s such a cute design and holds lots of essentials.Seems very sturdy and material seems strong and durable, purchased at a great price and I also purchased the matching lunchbox.

Brought this for my 1 year old after returning to work and him needing bag for his bits. Fits nappies, wipes, changing mat, snacks, toys, water bottle and milk bottle and change of clothes. Hangs nicely on buggy and when he's older he can carry himself . 2nd son due in few months and will prob get him one in an alternative design.

We bought a bumble bee one for our first son 2 years ago for nursery and it’s been perfect! Still in excellent condition and he loves it! Now with our second son on the way, we’ve bought him one too. Lots of space for nappies, wipes, spare clothes, and easier to carry around than a great big changing bag.

It's okay, doesn't looks great. But my son is happy. The main part has single zipper I feel having 2 zippers are good as if one is gone the other would save.

Very sturdy and roomy. Can fit many things, 1 extra clothing, food, nappy, and so on.It’s made of a good fabric that doesn’t stain very easy, so I’m happy with the purchase I’ve made.
