Nice compact CD player.
Love that this CD player does not allow skips while playing CDs. I shook it while playing a CD to test it. It also comes with essentials to play it in cars that do not have CDs. Very pleased with this purchase.

Perfect for used CDs
Bought this for my son due to his interest in shopping for used CDs. One selling point is that it's rechargeable. No need to hunt for batteries. It appears well made and we like that it has dual outputs. Looking forward to searching all the garage sales and second hand stores

Monodeal - CW605 Portable Compact Disc Player. This unit is not programmable. Its a great substitute until your other components are fixed. It sits sturdy on the table. It doesn't shift around it's stationary. It's cool for temporarily means. The volume is pretty much or can be loud. The owners manual shows all the functions of the component. It has everything you need in the box.

OH MY GOSH !!! OUTSTANDING PRODUCT AND CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!
I just can’t say enough about this dandy little portable CD player. It’s a real beauty with a simulated old barn wood accent around the disk holder. And I was amazed to see that it offered a lifetime guarantee!!! Then I got an email from Monodeal customer service representative Grace Zhou asking if there were any problems or issues? I replied that I really liked the player…, but I had expected that it would work with our new Toyota Tacoma sound system via the USB port. That was not the case though and I asked if they offered any sort of adapter that I might acquire to make it work. Grace promptly replied, “No problem”…, and that she would have an FM Wireless Radio Transmitter sent out to me immediately!!! Again…, I can’t say enough about what a wonderful experience I have had. The Transmitter arrived today and worked beautifully. Though I haven’t had time to thoroughly test it out on our crumbling infrastructure yet…, I feel secure in saying that if there are any future issues…, I am confident that they will be handled in the same prompt and professional manner. Thanks once again Grace and Monodeal :)

Great quality product!
Where do I start? This portable CD player is unlike any others i have ever used. It is a very esthetically pleasing product. The sound quality is fantastic (I did get some very good headphones to pair with it) the battery life is wonderful, if you use it while out for a walk or anything it lasts for a long time. For my boyfriend and I, we find that only using a cellphone to have your music just isnt the same as playing your favorite CD. We also happen to have a very large CD collection so it would be a shame for them all to go to waste as technology progresses so quickly most of the time CD's have become obsolete. But not for us. The functions are very easy to understand once you learn them and get the hang of it. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a portable CD player. The only negative thing I can think of is the size of this product is larger than the average cellphone (as a comparison because generally people use their cellphone to listen to music) but you can carry it in your hand or if you have a sweatshirt with a large front pocket it could be carried that way, or even using some kind of a bag to carry it in.

A great device
A great device, but fool me on the wood finish. It’s not real wish it were though. Even though it never said anything about it being made of wood I overlooked the features but all in all it’s been a blast from the past to use.

More than you paid for
To start off, I purchased this product due to its high ratings and cool appearance. While I expected a suitable CD player, I didn’t expect nearly every part of the sound spectrum to come off so crisp. From the bass to the taps to the vocals, this player really puts me next to the artist I’m listing. Pair that with a relatively low cost, excellent customer service, and lifetime warranty (free of charge) I am happy to say this is one purchase I won’t be regretting.

Problems immediately
I bought this player to listen to the Harry Potter seven book CD set, 125 hours narrated by Stephen Fry (because the SF version isn't available any other way in the US, which is a pity because it's a fabulous performance to listen to.)After researching CD players I chose the monodeal, because despite being on the expensive side ($70 at the time) its sound quality and positive reviews made me think it'd be a good choice. Plus I watched a consumer's video, showing the assets of this model's non skip claim to fame, as he compared a competitors performance (that skipped at the slightest movement) and the monodeal, that he shook the crap out of and banged, turning it every which way, with no disruption to the song he was playing through external speakers. Both the HP CDs and the monodeal arrived within a day of each other and I immediately plugged the player in to charge. Within a short time the battery's red indicator turned green and I unplugged it and started listening to book 1, CD1 out of 7. The monodeal is easy to use and I liked the option of the many EQ settings that definitely improved the CD's sound. But after about an hour of listening the CD started to skip, reset, skip, jump back to a previous section, play fine, then jump back to the start of the chapter. The CD player is on a level, stable surface with no physical cause for the disruption. I checked the CD, it's pristine, and then the player to see if there was debris causing the issue. Nothing. Cleaned everything just in case.Same thing happened on CD2, briefly, then several CDs later it started glitching again and froze with the on off button doing nothing to clear the display screen. I thought I was out of luck, then saw the sticker on the underside of the player, cryptically explaining (language translation issue?) with an arrow pointing to a small hole on the body that this is the manual reset. (There's nothing in the instruction booklet explaining this function.) Inserted a pin and the display lit up. Yay! It reacquired the correct point on the CD and resumed playing with no problems for the rest of book 1.Book 2 played fine for the first few CDs of 8, but it kept shutting off because the battery's charge time diminished, so I kept it plugged in to a power source at home and in my car. On CD5 it started glitching during a section, repeatedly. Stopped the CD, turned off the player, checked it and the player, cleaned the surfaces (even though everything looked fine), put the CD back in and turned the player on. Same thing, glitching & skipping. I kept resetting it to the start of the chapter as soon as it glitched and on the fifth try it played through with no issues. (I'm not having high hopes it will last through the later books that are much longer with 17 and 22 CDs in them.)Now I'm handling the player with kid gloves just to get through book 2. Listening with no issues on CD7 it suddenly stopped mid sentence. Checked to see if it was the end of the CD, but no, the player was locked up with a frozen screen again. Sighing, I manually reset it and finished the rest of CD7.I received an email through Amazon right after this. Monodeal's CS reached out to me, asking how I liked their product after owning it a week. I detailed all the problems and my annoyance at constantly having my listening experience interrupted. Then I started listening to CD8 and during an exciting section the player started glitching again. Grr. Reset it to the start of the chapter several times, then it resumed play normally. I looked at the large box of CDs wondering if it was even worth it to start book 3.Monodeal's CS response was to check if my CDs were dirty and they'd await my response to see if that fixed the problems I was having.Wow. Who knew a dirty CD could effect battery life! No doubt their next reply will have me investigating 'operator error' as the cause for the poor performance of their product. Monodeal's tone deaf response cinched it for me. This player's not worth the aggravation. Filed a return request with Amazon and was promptly refunded.ETA:After more research I bought a used Sony D-EJ360 to play the HP CDs. It's sturdy, easy to use AND has the same sound quality as the monodeal! Woot! Whether it's in my house, my car or in my pocket, it plays with no problems. I'm 30 or so CDs further along in the HP collection without a single disruption to my listening experience, other than to swap the finished CD for the next one. Still using the first two AAs too with no depletion of battery life. For a fraction of the cost, the Sony delivers.
