Turn the top section about one eighth of a turn to the left. This was very stiff the first time but is OK after a couple of times!

Hey, you have to prize open the top part. It feels like it might break or snap because it does require a bit of nail power a pull it apart, but when it comes lose.. it releases all at once and is fine. Hope that helps :-)
