THIS is the stuff for removing rust from stainless steel!
I like Brasso okay, and really like Barkeeper's Friend, and sometimes use Ospho on mild steel, but strong citric acid is the bomb for addressing rust on high quality stainless steel. It's not quite a miracle solution, but is the best I've found yet (and is much less dangerous to my nicks and cuts than oxalic acid).Practical Sailor magazine turned me on to this -- they got it right. (Note: While I could get it to pass through a spray bottle, I quickly found that applying with a paintbrush is the way to go and clean up is very easy. Keep it wet/damp until you are ready to hose it off--don't let it dry on your SS fittings.)

Ohhhhh my!
We bought a 20 year old boat from a man that hated to clean. We are slowly, but surely restoring the outside, and this product made cleaning all of the stainless steel, cleats, fender holders, door latches, hinges etc. shine like new.

Easy to use!
Overall great product. Left on for a good 30-40 mins and reapplied on the areas that were the most rusty. Easy to apply and rinse. I scrubbed a little on some of the tough stains and some didn’t complete go away but again overall great product. Very pleased.

The best for discolored stainless and removing rust stains in fiberglass. Amazingly good.
This is the best way to remove rust stains from a fiberglass boat that I have ever used during the 25 years I’ve owned boats. It cleans off discoloration from stainless without any rubbing and it’s the only thing that gets out deep rust stains quickly and completely. It must be 70F to work quickly. It works in colder temps, but requires multiple applications. It outperforms Davis FSR for getting rust stains out of fiberglass. Outperforms Flitz too. I keep a tube of Flitz on my sailboat, but I don’t use it very often anymore.

Best thing for removing rust from a boat
I used to purchase this at the boat store for close to the same money; this stuff is perfect. I had a sailboat at the dock near the ocean and used this to remove all of the rust that appeared on the stainless steel rails and other areas of the sailboat. It does take some time to work, but if you have the time there's nothing like it in my opinion. The real key is keeping it moist so it can do the job. I suggest a spraybottle of water for that purpose.

Seems to work well
Did well for moderate rust on pelican hooks and stanchions. Not particularly effective on bare stainless lifelines, so must order industrial grade rust remover for those.

This stuff is absolutely the best
Buying from Amazon Aust is better value than buying out of the US, this stuff is just magic for SS fittings on a boat.
