Formal Notices: Fifty Fill-in-the-Blank Forms for Everyday Correspondence

My wife and I are a big fan of Formal Notices. It sits in an uncanny valley of dry humor and earnest truth which is quite delightful. The design is also quite sharp and it makes for a great coffee table book, though the forms themselves are also quite useful and go in all sorts of strange directions (the page with the Artistic License, next to the License to Kill, for example). Recommended, for those who enjoy curiosities and anachronisms!

Funny but at the same time surprising good and realistic for correspondence.Turns out that these are a pretty good guide on how to write letters. It's omething that I was looking for so that my 4th grader had a reference on writing snail mail (he does these e-mails with phrases and short sentences but such falls short of really writing a letter.)

I was very pleased with the "used" copy of the "forms" book which I ordered. The only indication that it was usedWe're some folds in the paperback covers, front and rear, however none of the contents were affected in any way. I am very pleased with this purchase, and find the humor and thoughtfulness of the "forms" themselves to be a very happy departure from several other formats I have seen offered. This was a bargain!

I've used the Bureau of communication's website for years and had no idea the book would be so much more awesome. I'm using these notices left and right

I bought this book about a year or two ago and it's great! I actually make copies of the forms to fill them out, so that I don't have to ruin the originals. It's a hilarious book and actually makes it easier for me to express things to people without offending them. I use the airing of grievances the most.

I first discovered this book through StumbleUpon, when I stumbled on the formal apology form. After I read every word including the fine print, I hunted down the book becuase I had to get my hands on it. I don't know if I'd ever pull a form out of the book to send to someone, but I would definitely copy one! There's something to be said for good, old-fashioned bureacracy - its ridiculous and should be heartily laughed at.

It's more then i was expecting! So many different formal notices, agreements and etc. Almost for every situation in your life:) I bought it for one occasion, but already used few formal notices to cheer up few of my friends. What i loved, that those formal notices are prepared for sending. You just fold a page, glue corners, put a stamp on it, write address and everything is done. Definitely will buy a new one, when this one is used.

I bought this book awhile back and finally got to use my first notice. I have some rambunctious upstairs neighbors and finally got to express my frustration in a formal manner. (Hopefully they take heed, or I'm going to declare war!) I can't bring myself to write or tear apart this book, so I made copies of the notices. Now I can give multiple people the same notice. LOVE THIS BOOK!

Great idea for a gift

This is just gold. It has a whole lot of nice forms I honestly really want to use because it's so genius. Using thick paper these are cards that won't be damaged so easily. They hold firm to the back, but it is still easy to carefully rip them out, so I wonder whether you are actually supposed to do that. Thus it is very easy to just copy them to paper to send more than one. Which I'm totally gonna do en masse now.
