I tried them and you can still hear them like open backed headphone. I sent them back and bought the 800S instead which sound just as good for a lot less

Would these headphones be suitable for listening to classical music and not letting out sounds that bother people in the same room? Thankful.

Most audiophile reviewers say these headphones go best with classical, Jazz and electronic music. I personal use them for everything and they sound fantastic. You'll need a good amp to power them, but even on high volumes there is minimal noise leakage. Depending on the seal around your head/face, the noise can be heard outside. Although I've never heard a complaint that it was too loud for a person in the same room. Most time they never heard anything, but I don't play music loud.
