The book of Prof. Samary Baranov is the best book I have ever read about transformations of Algorithmic State Machines and synthesis of Finite State Machines with large numbers of inputs, outputs and states. The book contains a lot of examples which help to read fast and understand the material of book. The formatting of the book is excellent, it is easy to read it even on a smartphone. I recommend it to hardware designers and students of Electrical and Computer Engineering. I consider this book as an excellent introduction to Prof. Samary Baranov's another highly anticipated book dedicated to High Level Synthesis (HLS). I expect the next book to have a fresh new look to HLS. The book is affordable and I am looking forward to buy it soon.

Excellent book. However, is not compatible with my new Kindle Paperwhite.
First off, I should note, this book is excellent. If I had purchased the hard-copy, it would have been a 5 star review. However, I purchased the kindle version. I can't complain about the content - it is superb. However, as of the moment of this review, this book doesn't work with my new kindle. So, I write this review to those for whom such a thing matters. If you need a book on finite state machines, there are few that are as clear and readable as this one. It would be nice if I could read it using my eReader.

Highly recommend this book for student and professional hardware/FPGA designers
Interesting book that takes you into real wold of logic design. Shows approaches and methodologies for FSM optimizations. A lot of examples for demonstration of optimizations. Highly recommend this book for student and professional hardware/FPGA designers.
