Amazing bible

It's packed with bible knowledge from beginning to end describing all passage of scriptures in high detail amazing, if you someone that wants a deep study of the bible buy this book.

Use it a lot for reading and studying.

I bought this as a second hand book and still in great quality. I love it that this study Bible provides context in a simple and clear way. There’s so much to explore and I’m looking forward to diving in. Pleased with this purchase.

Excellent study tool. Clear and concise.

Lovely version of the Bible and is said to stand closer to the original ancient manuscripts. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is not for the Bible but for the notes. I was aware from other reviews that the notes were ‘off’ but they weren’t the main reason I bought this ESV version. However I felt I must point out that some of the notes are just not right and seem to be ‘people inspired’ rather than ‘Spirit inspired’. Checking one in particular at Luke 13:35, it directly contradicts another note on Psalm 118:26. So a great translation but don’t take the notes as gospel

I've been looking for a good study bible for some time and having picked up my daughters copy I thought this would be ideal. I also looked at an NIV one but found this easier to read. I'm a great fan of Wayne Grudem especially his book on systematic theology, so it's lovely to see his handywork in this study bible. Lots of extra resources, and maps and pictures, as context is everything. I wish I had bought this a long time ago, and I can't recommend it enough.

Fantastic study bible with so much information

UPDATE: Matthew 17:21 was omitted from this bible. The NIV bible also omits it. Other verses were omitted also. I am starting to think I need to find an old used bible. So far I have found the book of Tobit and of Ruth missing. Lots of maps and diagrams. Lots of explanation of measurements (a shekel for instance). Lots of commentary. Almost good glossary.

Très bien présenté, des sections bien arrangées, et les notes/explications sont très précises, et objectives. C'est un peu écrit petit. mais avec de bonnes lunette !!!

Crossway did a really good job with the ESV study Bible. I have really enjoyed the study notes that are on the bottom half of every page. I will read a set of Bible verses multiple times, and then, if I'm not understanding, I will go down to the bottom and read the study notes to see what the Crossway authors have to say about it. It has been a big help in helping me understand some verses and sections of the Bible that I wasn't sure about how to interpret it. There is a very good concordance in the back section of the Bible where you can look up any word you are thinking of in alphabetical order. It will give you a list of books and verses of the Bible that have to do with that certain word that you are trying to look up. There are lots of color maps and charts in the Bible, and the beginning of every book of the Bible gives a good introduction and breakdown of what the book is about, who wrote the book, time period that it was written in, etc. The hardcover is very sturdy, and I like how when you open up the Bible, it lays very flat and you don't have any issues with the pages wanting to flip back over on top of themselves. See my pictures below. I am very happy with the quality of the construction of this Bible, especially for the price. I see myself using it for many years to come.
