Just got my 2 Blaze albums. I have never listened to the Blaze era until now. Being that I am huge fan and only know Maiden from Bruce/Paul, I was very skeptical of these 2 albums. So, last week I did some homework on Blaze via youtube. I watched him perform along with a few interviews. I have to say I kinda fell in love with the guy. He was incredibly nice, genuine and had very good positive intentions with Iron Maiden. With that said, I became very open minded when I dropped the needle on this album today. I can honestly say that I am really enjoying every moment on the album. Of course the music is great, but wow, Blaze did a really nice job!! Following Bruce can be all kinds of pressure, but it seems like Blaze was very inspired by Bruce and respected his work with Iron Maiden. So, I can gladly endorse these 2 albums for any Maiden fan. If anything, they are very good metal albums. Hats off to Blaze!!! Maiden should have him do a guest song on a tour!!!

Great cd. I just listened to it for the first time last month. Great songs and Blaze does a terrific job with vocals.

I hated this album when it first came out. It was so different sounding from all the classics. I was a teenager when it came out and if it wasn't face ripping fast I didn't like it. I recently when back and listened to the remaster with my more mature ears and admit I was very wrong about this album. It stands on it's own as a Maiden classic and deserves to be in your collection. The album still might not appeal to all Maiden fans though. Listen first before buying if you've never heard it.

The music shows a translation into writing for the new singer. Not as complex. Blazes vocals are good for the tunes.

No Bruce? Don't worry, Steve Harris writes all the songs anyway. Blaze Bayley? Not my favorite live but in studio works he can go! Dont shy from this one, add to your collection!
