Great Jazz bass pedal - and fast
For the price, this Yamaha pedal is well built and a steal. Easily detaches for storage and transport and it's lightweight and very sturdy. After a year of playing, I had to lube the point where the footboard bracket connects to the beater tower but that was just me being picky. While I was at it, I lightly oiled the main pivot bearings, spring bushing and chain, just for grins. I will add, maybe not as easy to adjust the tension spring as my Pearl Eliminator but, it's a 70 buck pedal - once you set the tension, forget about it. One additional observation, as to another comment I read, never did experience the beater "flying off" or anything loosen-up for that matter. Man-up, snug down the screws as you would any other pedal and you're good to go.

Yamaha Quality with suggestion.
Nicely made, typical, Yamaha quality, slightly over priced, pedal, the longer footboard was nice, hardly noticeable, to me. It could really use a DW or SPL, softer, slightly "conical top"shaped spring (check the springs profile) and it'll rock, noticeably quicker response. Just my 70's "has been" but still playing drummer--maybe correct- opinion. In the end, it's operator discipline and practice that count. Maybe???

Yeah pedal go bang bang
My little drummer is happy with this one. It has taken some 7 years old abuse already and still works.

Fast pedal for the money
I already had one of these but wanted another to match my double bass so I knew what I was getting. These are the best pedals Iโve used at this price point. You can get a little better feel from pedals twice the price but for me itโs not enough of a difference.

Comfortable, smooth action, fully adjustable!
Totally solid pedal. I am a beginner and not yet can tell the difference from this solid starter foot pedal and the high end ones which can be quite pricey. I have installed this on my Yamaha Birch set, and have no complaints at all. The action is very smooth, it feels very comfortable and it is fully adjustable. So if you are getting started this should definitely fit the bill. Rock (or blues) on!

Good pedal.
This pedal got four stars only because it is not top quality. Although this pedal is definately worth the money. The construction is just a little wably, but is held together well. It is easy set up and has been used for nearly a year with no problems. I would recommend this pedal to any beginner.

Fits Vater Vintage Fleece Beater shaft
This is a great pedal. Feels nice right out of the box. For reference I play jazz, bossa nova, samba, rock, hip hop and many other styles. The main reason I bought this pedal was bc I bought a Vater Vintage Fleece Beater and the diameter of the shaft was to large for an old DW 5000 I own. The beater barely fit into my Iron cobra but that's a double pedal I use for other styles and didn't want to mess with that configuration. I got this pedal and the fleece beater fit nicely. Hope this helped.
