Great Book given no love by Amazon
I really like this version of Call of Cthulhu with it's beautiful artwork by Francois Baranger. This is why I've given it a top score of five out of five. It's a large book although quite slim. But the art is where this book truly shines. Baranger's artwork is fantastic and is some of the best Mythos-related work you'll find anywhere. As a result this has to be a must have for fans of this genre I reckon. However, buyer beware! The first book I received was poorly packaged by Amazon. Placed in a large box with just a bit of paper thrown in (shown in the pic), which did the book's corners no favours as it could slide around easily. But this was not the reason I asked for replacement. That was because the first page was damaged. Some days later I received a replacement, which was good, but this was also just as poorly packaged. Thankfully it was undamaged, apart from slight scuffed corners, but nothing much to fret about. The dust cover was covered in sticky stuff though, as if whoever packaged it had been eating sweets and had mucky fingers. Thankfully this did clean off, although it wasn't as easily done as I'd like and not something I think I should have to do when I buy a book. Note - I also bought the At the Mountains of Madness version of this series from Amazon. I just received it this morning, sent in a flimsy envelope with two of the book's pages ripped at the corners. This will also be getting sent back. Hopefully the replacement isn't damage also. Due to these experiences I think I'll be buying books from elsewhere in future.

This Is A "BIG" Book
If you are a fan of H. P. Lovecraft and you like books that are illustrated with good artwork, then this is for you. Make no mistake though, this is a significantly large book - sitting in a chair and reading it on your lap is a bit awkward. The artwork is just brilliant and adds significantly to the pleasure of reading. There are also several other Lovecraft books in the same series - all with very good artwork and identical in size. Highly recommended if you're a fan of Lovecraft.

Imagination, artistic & quality.
The fantastic imagination of Lovecraft takes you on an adventure, intertwined with the fear of the unknown, & enhanced with the beauty & scope of Baranger’s artwork. The book’s size & quality of it’s materials definitely adds to the reading experience.

Absolutely stunning
This has to be the perfect way to read Lovecraft's most famous story, the artwork is just....wow, it's beautiful. The tale itself is a classic and rightly so, it's one of HPL's best works, and the artwork matches it, really bringing the whole thing to life. It's not a graphic novel, but for some reason I found myself reading the thing almost as if it was new to me even though I've read CoC multiple times and listened to audio versions of it many times too. The author sells signed prints of some of the artworks included here and I loved the book so much I've ordered one for myself. I honestly can't recommend this book highly enough - if you are a fan of Lovecraft this is absolutely essential given how low the price is. I've also bought the two Mountains of Madness books and was VERY happy to see on the author's Instagram page that he's working on The Dunwich Horror next! Why are you still reading this review? Buy the book, and fall in love with HPL's CoC all over again (insert Kenneth Williams GIF here). Steven A. McKay, author of "Knight of the Cross"

Beautifully illustrated H P Lovecraft book
Simply one of the best visual representations of HP Lovecrafts Masterpiece. The illustrations are top notch and the thin tall profile of the book gives it a unique feel while holding

Immersive artwork! Great for HP Lovecraft fans and those curious and new to this genre!
The art gives life to the iconic story of HP Lovecraft and invokes the sense of mystery and darkness. Some of the art really brings out the immense scale of the ancient malicious being and leave the reader in awe. Book arrived in ok condition, no damages, a bit larger than I thought but well suited to capture those beautiful and terrifying artworks.
