Slick Gorilla Lightwork Matte Hair Clay for Men, Flexible Hold, 70g

My hair and I are currently involved in a disagreement about how much of it should remain attached to my head. Unfortunately, my hair appears to be winning. This stuff, however, is excellent. It's genuinely matte, gives my hair a nice messy look and, most importantly, doesn't clump everything together and expose the increasingly visible patches of scalp underneath. You only need a small amount, and it holds everything in place without making my hair look greasy or stuck together. I don't use it every day, mainly because that would require making an effort every morning, but when I do, it works brilliantly. I'll definitely be buying it again. Assuming I've still got enough hair left to justify the purchase.

Think I might have finally found something suitable for my hair. I have straight Asian hair, (medium length at the moment.) I have spent far too much over the years, trying out different hair products from gels, waxes, mouses, powders, salt sprays and pastes. None of them really lived up to their promise. The products I've tried in the past would either clump my hair up (no matter how little I used) or leave it feeling weighed down and greasy. I've been using this for a week to test it out and see how my hair would get along with it. Initially I tried it with a salt spray first which didn't really work, the combination resulted in the oh so familiar greasy look. After trying to style my hair without the hair spray I had better results. The thing I found that worked for me best, after washing and towel drying (damp enough to run my hand through my hair and have some moisture left in the hair but not dripping wet either) taking a small ish "pea sized" scoop and working it through my hair. Immediately after that I'd blow dry my hair. Leave it to settle, style with a comb and finish off with a hair spray. This method has worked best for me and I'm pleased with how my hair feels and looks. Finally! It doesn't feel weighed down and I'm happy with the matte appreance and texture I can have. I like the smell of this paste, my girlfriend even commented saying she liked it too and if I was using something different in my hair as it looked less weighed down. I'd say it's value for money, a small enough scoop goes a long way and it's not stupid expensive either. So thank you and I hope you continue making this product!

High quality product, met expectations and holds hair well. When hair is wet provides a more glossed look but when dry holds well but less glossed. Would buy again.

Still trying to find the best clay, this unfortunately isn’t it. It’s more like a paste in texture, and the smell isn’t good. Easy to apply and wash out, but the hunts goes on ….

This is great holding clay and works best with SG's powder.

La tenuta è medio-leggera, il capello resta incredibilmente morbido e naturale al tatto, ma con una texture e un volume al top. Il finish è opaco: visivamente sembra che non ci sia applicata la classica cera opaca. I PRO Look naturale e rimodellabile: Puoi passarti le mani tra i capelli durante il giorno per rimetterli a posto; la cera non si secca mai e non lascia residui o polverine bianche. Leggerezza: Non appesantisce i capelli fini, anzi, aiuta a dare un bell'effetto ottico di volume dalla punta alla radice. Lavabilità immediata: Essendo a base d'acqua, viene via la sera sotto la doccia con facilità, senza bisogno di fare due o tre passate di shampoo. I CONTRO Non è per acconciature estreme: Se hai i capelli molto lunghi, spessi o se cerchi una tenuta "strong" che resista a una giornata intensa, questa argilla risulterà troppo blanda. Profumo molto discreto: Ha una fragranza neutra e leggera. Se cerchi quel classico profumo intenso e persistente da barbiere che ti accompagna per ore, qui potresti rimanere un po' deluso. È diventata la mia scelta definitiva per i look di tutti i giorni. Ho già acquistato questo prodotto due volte e lo farò ancora. Se hai un taglio corto o medio-corto e cerchi volume, opacità totale e una chioma flessibile che si muove in modo naturale, questa cera è un piccolo capolavoro di praticità.

Works great, only need a little bit of the clay, and it lasts in your hair for the whole day! I have straight black hair and it helps it not look so flat! Washes out with soap and water, but you can probably get it out with just hot water too! Doesn’t feel greasy and will form to whatever direction you put it in. Definitely worth it if you’re looking for a clay that isn’t filled with a bunch of random ingredients or if your looking for an alternative to powder!

Been using this product for a few months now, I have fine/thinner straight hair and this works very well to keep it structured, while also very matte with volume. It’s got a sandy type feel to it, similar to other light weight products if you’ve used before. Great option for light-weight natural volume that is reworkable through the day as desired
