Step2 Shootin' Hoops Pro Basketball Set

I bought the Step2 Shootin’ Hoops Pro Basketball Set for my nephew, and he absolutely loves it. The set is easy to assemble and feels sturdy enough for energetic play. I was nervous about ordering this because of some of the one star reviews that I read, mentioned the break away rim didn’t go back into position and the height adjustments didn’t stay in place. I just got it today, so I have no problems so far. Instructions are easy to follow. I had to push pretty hard to get some of the pieces to lock together, but I figured that was good, they wouldn’t come apart. I bought this for my 4 year old great nephew, and the lowest height is perfect for him. He loves it. He got 2 baskets and was really excited. He won’t be doing any slam dunks, so no worries about the rim. For a young child, this is perfect.

This is a very sturdy basketball hoop that will last my grandkids for a long time. They're just two and four right now, but they can still get the ball into the hoop. The little one has to stand on the step to get it in, but she'll be tall enough in about a month. When it gets warmer, they'll put it in the driveway, but for now, lots of energy is getting expended in the family room. I did buy an extra set of balls so they can both shoot.

My 10 year old son shoots hoops constantly and when it's cold he still wants to play so we bought this for him and it's perfect. It's tall enough for him and he can still dunk. He love it and my 13 year old daughter plays games against him too. The only complaint I have is that the grooves on the side are not deep enough so it does slip out of it's slot when a hard shot or hit on the rim happens. I ended up putting a tight bungee cord around the orange piece that goes into the groove and it's held perfectly since then. Disappointing I had to do that with a brand new hoop but other than that it's been super fun and perfect for inside play.

Easy to assemble (if you read the picture instructions) and sturdy as a horse. My kid (and I) love this thing. If i let him win, he would probably love it more, but it's just so fun to shoot over him, raining down threes from everywhere, dunking with ease, and blocking every shot he takes. He has more fun when I just watch...

This arrived in time for christmas and is such a big hit with my 5 year old! He "plays" basketball on a Saturday at school, but the hoops are high and he gets worn out. This will definatly build his confidence to go to the next level. Its very sturdy and sand is working best for us as a stabilizer due to cold weather, but can still be moved. Dosn't feel like a "little kids" plastic toy, which I was concerned about. The ball included is light and not very basketball like, but, perfect for shooting and he finds it easier to use than a small basketball for now. a really great find!

I assembled the basketball hoop today, my three and seven year old love it. The instructions are easy to follow, the set up is quite simple. No tools required, just a few snaps to put the parts together. The ball that comes with the hoop is very preschool like but my three year old preferred it over a regular basketball. Adjusting the height is simple however I did need help since I wasn’t able to open the clasp and push down on the board at the same time.

I love the adjusting for my two kids. It will easily grow with them for at least a few years. Others have complained about it slipping but we’ve used and moved it for over a month now and I don’t see that issue. It’s pretty snug. We’ve been using it inside and it doesn’t tip easily. Good entertainment during long Ohio winters!
