2019 Apple MacBook Pro (16-inch, 16GB RAM, 512GB Storage) - Space Grey

I bought this a few months back, it's my first MacBook Pro, prior only had Mac air. it can not be compared with other brands due to it's longevity and quality. it seems expensive when you have to pay all these money, but in the long run it's worth it and you save money with a product that does not give you headaches. my last air had been with me for 5 years. I am a responsible buyer and take responsible decisions in what I spend my money on, I take my decisions after long considerations. I compared all Mac laptops from this year, and their options and also looked at the prices and came to the conclusion this was the best option for me. And, as I expected I was not disappointed with my decision.

So look, I'm an it engineer for more than 10years, and I had all types of PC during this time. All I can say is that the basic config of 2019 16" MacBook Pro is one of my best investments yet.It's true, you need to invest 80-90€ more for a good 7 in one or 8 in one adapter to get USB 3, HDMI and an RJ45 Ethernet port.All in all this laptop is an excellent choice. Screen is amazing, trust me on that ;)

I spend a lot of time deciding what MacBook to go for and whether to wait until next year for the ARM MacBooks but I am glad I didn't wait - its a powerhouse and everything I would want in a laptop - runs quiet and I haven't experienced any heating issues - a saving as well buying from Amazon - buy it

Although it is expensive, the build quality, picture clarity and speed make this an excellent product.

Finally upgraded from my 7-8 year old Mac. I went for the new 16" screen, which seems to be physically no larger than the 15", but seems to fill the frame a bit more. What immediately struck me was how much thinner and lighter the new one is. Also the fact that it powers up in seconds, while my old one had got to taking about 5 minutes. The main thing I miss is the CD/DVD player. I NEED this for uploading and down loading music. So rather than investing in a plug-in player, I'm still using the old machine for that, and transferring files to the new machine. All a bit of an unnecessary faff. Also, why bring in the Numbers app, after years of being used to the ever-dependable Excel?OK, these may be minor niggles, and I'm getting used to the new regime. It's still a great machine of course, but at the price, it damn-well should be!

Now that Apple have started printing RAM and SSD storage directly onto the logic boards, this might be the last upgradeable MacBook Pro ever. After this model, you will no longer be able to change any hardware on your mac making it bad value for money. I guess to many people are hanging on to their macs.The really useful touch bar above the keyboard has been removed on later models too which is one of the most useful things on this model.It has great built in audio software and was purchased for my daughter's sound studio.

It takes a lot of money to buy it buts its worth it. Battery life 12hours, 16 inch monitor is gorgeous and the new keyboard is very precise. Its an upgrade only if you have 2017 model and older.

The computer is honestly great, the problem is that maybe you get a faulty item (like I did). I purchased this computer for a master. As you can imagine I NEED this computer, I didn't buy cause I had the money to spend. A part of the border of the screen is loose and you can see light coming through it. I could obviously return it, but like I said I would need this computer back asap. and amazon was expecting (even though I explained my situation) for the computer to be returned, refund me the money, and purchase it again. Only the refund is said to take between 5-7 days. the return for international deliveries takes more time to process. And I can't be so much time without a computer on what basically has become an online master. Despite the good record I have with amazon, and the time I've been spending money here I got a good kind of solution. Amazon has the money to take a risk in special situations like this. And all I was hoping was for them to issue a refund as soon as they received the item. Or treat it with high priority. But they couldn't care less. Only buy from amazon if you have time to lose, or don't mind sending it back. The best opinion I can give is to buy refurbished from Apple for roughly the same price, and if there is a problem you can always get an exchange on any authorized apple store this way. I will be taking this to repair under warranty, and will never purchase something I urgently need from amazon.
