18" Deep 2 Drawer Metal File Cabinet

I like that all I had to do was put the handles on this when it came and that it was easy to do. This is a perfect cabinet to keep my important papers and paid bills in. It looks good and is very sturdy. Perfect addition to my craft room where I also pay my bills.

Reasonably priced, basic 2 drawer file cabinet. I needed a cabinet with a lock and didn't want to take spend a fortune. This cabinet is decent quality, sturdy enough and arrived in perfect condition. The lock is ok. The keyhole is on the bottom but locks both drawers. There is a bit of a gap between the side of the cabinet and the side of the drawer so is someone wanted to take the time to pry it open with a screw driver, etc. I don't think it would take too much effort. I also don't think it would stand up very well in a fire. I use it for low security work filing. Suits my need.

I bought this to replace my filing snap-n-store boxes with something sturdy, to have lockable storage to house files pertaining to a thesis I did, to have a place to put my printer, and to have a filing cabinet that would complement the decor in my room. The filing cabinet came already put together, with only the handles that needed to be attached. There were no dents or nicks in the cabinet. Attaching the handles went smoothly; the screws were all the right size. The white color is very clean and minimalistic. I love the sleek curve that the handles have. It really gives the cabinet a modern feel.The drawers house standing files perfectly, but some of my documents would not fit because they were slightly bigger than the width of the standing files. The drawers are a pretty good size, but don't come out all the way, so you would have to reach underneath the top to access files that are in the small space at the back of the drawer. The cabinet can become top-heavy, meaning it would be best to place your most heaviest items in the bottom drawer, rather than the top, or have the files equally distributed in weight. The files I had in my bottom drawer happened to be heavier than the ones in the top drawer, which kept the cabinet from tilting forward when both drawers were open.As for the locking function of the cabinet, I would say that it does its job. It's not super secure, as it looks like you can easily jimmy the drawers open with enough force, but it's not a major concern for me. The metal is also thin on this cabinet. Even so, I believe this a good cabinet for the price and great for casual use. I totally recommend it.

I have purchased two of these for home use. Keep them in the master closet. They work well, and are attractive, and lock with keys. Very minor issues are that the back of the drawers are a bit hard to reach (if drawer are jam packed with files) and you can only have one drawer open at a time or it starts to tip over. That is probably the case with most file cabinets. Overall very pleased.

This item is exactly what I need, white, two drawer, locking. The first one I received was so dented in the back and along the side that the drawers did not open. No problem, Amazon is amazing and I sent it back that day - easy! I received the replacement a few days later and it was perfect. Except no keys for the locking drawer! I called Amazon and they cannot send the keys separately, so I am getting another replacement with the keys hopefully included and then I will need to return the third set of drawers...

I was skeptical about the shade of white this "pearl white" file cabinet was going to be, I was afraid it was going to be a old yellow-white looking color but I was pleased to see that it was a nice real white color. The item was shipped mostly assembled, I only had to put on the cabinet handles which wasn't hard with a handy phillips screwdriver. Pretty sturdy, very pleased with this purchase and might buy another one in the future to stack on top. I purchased 2 packs of AmazonBasics Hanging File Folders - Letter Size (25 Pack) - Assorted Colors and they fit well and will be plenty enough for both cabinets.
