TREKOLOGY Ultralight Backpacking Sleeping Pad, Inflatable Camping Mat

This is an initial quality evaluation. I laid on the pad for about 15 - 20 minutes. 1. 17 breaths from a big man to inflate. I recommend getting a bag inflator. My Trekology 10L Pump Sack (available on Amazon) delivers in 2 days. Hoping to use as a bag, pillow, and inflator. We'll see how it goes. 2. I'm 6'1" 235lbs. My hips and shoulders are 1.5" to 2" off the ground when I lay on my side. Nice job Trekology. 3. Length: The ends on either side protrude more than the middle to about 75" in length (the Amazon product description's length) but I'd say 74" is more fair as actual surface my body would be on. My feet did not hang off. 4. Width: 24.4" is a fair number. I won't argue it. I will say, when laying on my back, my arms completely hang off the edge. It may not be as noticeable in a sleeping bag. I'm good with it. As a side sleeper, it's not a problem and it helps to keep the weight of the pad down. If you are a back sleeper or belly sleeper, you may not like it. 5. Height: The outside edges are taller to help you stay centered on the pad and they are a legitimate 4". The center is closer to 3.5". I don't care, my hips and shoulders are off the ground. It's all good. 4. Weight was also very close: Mine 19.6 oz. Theirs 19.8 oz. Less than a pound and a quarter is good given the height of the pad and that the material feels durable and dense. 5. The carrying sack is loose. So if you roll the pad up tight like me, you can drop it in. If you roll it up sloppy, you have extra girth and height to fit it in. I like this. Most product have to get rolled up factory tight. Make sure you roll it bottom to top (valve end), to roll out the air. 6. Pack size: Theirs: 7.3" (long) X 4.7" (diameter). Mine: 8" X 4.5". The 8" is probably a bit long due to the looseness of the carrying sack. 7. Trekology calls it a 3 season pad and estimates an R value of 2 - 2.5 which is about equal to 35.6 F. I'm not backpacking in the snow. I also have a closed cell pad that will go under it to protect from sticks, rocks, etc. and it will add another R value of 1 or so. If you are winter camping. This is not for you. 8. Valve: The one way valve worked perfectly for inflating. Deflation valve also worked perfectly and fast. 9. Noise: I rolled and flopped around on this thing. The noise was negligible; a slight brushing sound you would expect from your clothes rubbing against a plastic surface. Not loud at all. I snore waaaay louder than that. It does not have the crinkle sound like a space blanket nor the two balloons rubbing together sound like other pads I've had to listen to in the dead of the night. Summary: Initial quality is excellent. I hope it holds up on the trail. The real test is how well the seals and valve hold air overnight. I included some pics. The orange pad in one of the pics is my accordion style, $20, Chinese, wait month for delivery, Thermarest knock-off. It's 22.5" by 74", thickness is .75" peak to peak - best case. It's less than a pound, can serve as a seat, can fold in half or 1/3, and is an additional moisture and cold barrier. I highly recommend getting one to go with any inflatable pad and to use as a clean, dry, place to sit or set your pack.

This is an excellent budget sleeping pad. I bought one to use on a recent backpacking trip and I really liked it. My previous car camping sleep setup included just an extra long twin air mattress that was 10" thick under my 40 degree sleeping bag, but I needed something much lighter. I put this pad down on top of a folding closed cell foam pad, then the same 40 degree bag, and I was actually warmer and more comfortable with this setup than my car camping setup. I was worried about other reviews that said the pad was too narrow or slippery, neither of which was an issue. I think the closed cell pad solved the slippery issue. Mine weighs in at 24.1 oz, or 1-1/2 pounds, complete with the storage bag, elastic strap, and patch kit, so it's lighter than claimed. The inflation valve is a slightly larger 22mm size, which is a little bigger than the valves on cheap air mattresses, so I had the wrong adapter on my pocket blower, but I was still able to get it inflated quickly. At 6'5" and 245 pounds, this pad just fit lengthwise and held it's air all night, not letting me touch the ground no matter how I laid. WELL worth it. I definitely recommend pairing it with a folding foam pad, the R-values stack and the foam protects the pad from getting punctured from the ground. This pad is easy to use, easy to pack, and easy to carry. For the price, you can't beat it.

Plenty thick & comfortable. well made and designed to cradle the body. Quiet material & you never really feel the ground while tossing and turning. I'm 220 lbs so that's a huge plus. Packs up tight every time. Wish it was wider than it is. Otherwise it is INCREDIBLE for the price.

I purchased this as a replacement for my Klymit Static V air mattress which I have used for several years while backpacking. The Klymit is a great product but it is only about two inches thick when inflated. The nights are long when backpacking so comfort is very important. The Trekology mattress is about 3.5 inches thick when inflated so no part of my body contacts the ground, even when side sleeping. The Trekology mat is only a few ounces heavier than the Klymit and it provides significantly more comfort for me. The Trekology mat needs a lot more air to inflate so I also purchased a $6.95 mini air pump. Using the 2 ounce air pump, the Trekology inflates in about 70 seconds. Without a pump, it would probably take about 100 breaths which is too much for me.

Honestly, this is a much better sleeping pad than I anticipated. Small, lightweight, durable a very comfortable. This is probably the most comfortable inflatable sleeping pad I’ve used, and I’ve had a couple Big Agnes pads. This thing really punches above its class relative to price. Bought one for the wife and myself. As soon as I received them, I filled them up to full capacity and let them sit for 3 days just to test how well they held up. No issues at all. Then I took them on a week long camping trip in Montana. They were inflated once and maintained air the whole time without needing a refill. Plus, I slept better than I ever have on an inflatable pad. They seem quite durable as well — only time will tell. We were not kind or easy on them at all. They got a lot of thrashing around, knees, elbows, rocks, etc and held up great. I read some reviews complaining about them being loud/noisy. I consider myself a bit of a snowflake when it comes to annoying sounds and I wasn’t at all bothered by these. Cheap, comfortable, small, lightweight and durable. Given the price, I’d be perfectly happy to buy them again after only a week’s worth of use. I mean, sleeping comfortably for a week is totally worth $45 imho. Save yourself the decision fatigue and just buy.

Next to go pad for warm weather trips. Not the lightest option but worth the extra weight if you value your sleep when backpacking. At 40$ this is very good option either for car campers or backpackers not minding a little extra weight - Pad is incredibly comfortable, so far the best I used, even better than my Big Agnes comparable pad sizes. Good option for side sleepers - Scale weight including stuff sack and rubber band is 670g, which is way less than 750g advertised - Temperature rating: I am warm sleeper and used it in mid-upper 50F in wet conditions on last trip and did not feel cold. Perform well for both condition. I don't think I would take it below the 50F, but that's exactly what it is designed for, warmer temperatures - Durability: Don't have enough data to say much about durability although it looks way more resistant than Big Agnes AXL Air - Ease of inflation: What you can expect from a thick pad, it takes some effort. I guess the inflation bag can help - Deflation is quick given the valve design. Storage size is not the smallest but not bad at all. I like the fact it comes with a rubber band, so you can save weight by not using storage bag - Color is a bit boring, I prefer bright color pads

Was forced to demo my new Aluft UL80 in a dispersed camping situation on the side on a rocky road. Had a tarp down under my tent, but still worried the air pad would get a leak from the corner of a rock- but it didn’t! Its tall height even meant my 190# was able to comfortably side sleep. Totally impressed.

Very disappointed. Purchased last year after a different pad failed on a trip. Just returned from a week-long trip and this one won't hold air. No hole, just a slow leak that makes me have to get up in the middle of the night and refill it. Not acceptable. Sleep in one of the most important things when hiking. I've had really good luck with other Trekology products, but this one is a bust.

Great mattress still holding strong 3 outings. Just pump it half way or a little over. Impressed..

Es la mejor inversión que he hecho en compras de camping. Mientras mis compañeros comentan que no durmieron por las piedras picudas, para mi es muy cómodo dormir en este colchon. Se infla rápido y se desinfla fácil. No pesa casi y es realmente muy compacto. Yo lo uso sobre una esterilla delgada. Cuando te acuestas se distribuya el peso de manera uniforme. La mejor compra que puedes hacer es este colchón. Lo amo! Recomendadisimo!!

Después de 4 años utilizando estas colchonetas (compramos 2 unidades iguales) podemos decir que están siendo utilizadas al 100% de su rendimiento. Se han inflado y desinflado más de 100 veces y nunca han perdido nada de aire. Son cómodas, ligeras, fáciles de transportar (viajamos en moto). Las volveríamos a comprar.

E' leggero, quindi il tessuto è sottile e questo puo' essere uno svantaggio perchè ovviamente si potrebbe bucare piu' facilmente. Quando ci si muove fa un po' di rumore della plastica, ma non è fastidioso. Consigliato, inquantacinque euri spesi bene!
