Answer this call. Great phone!
If you need a new landline (more people than you think still use them) this is a good choice. I purchased it to replace another brand that did not keep a charge well and I found that I had difficulty hearing. This phone answers those (pun intended.) The battery life is great and the sound quality is a vast improvement to what I struggled with previously. My sons have actually noticed that I do not need them to repeat themselves so much now. I was unsure about the need for the second line addition but I was wrong. Now I do not know how I did without it for so long. Great quality and connectivity. The handset weight is perfect. Large enough to see the number and call missed information, but comfortable enough to be able to use for even the longest call. I find I have an improved range for the phone. Allows for me to even use it on my front porch. Reasonable price. Easy to set up even for those not "tech savvy." This phone arrives quickly. The neutral color allows for a great look in my library/office as well as the living room where the second handset lives.

A Practical Two-Handset Solution Without Adding A Cell Phone
Let’s face it, traditional landlines are being phased out. I recently encountered this when I needed a telephone extension in another room. Verizon Wireless wanted to steer me toward adding another cell phone, but that was not a workable solution for my needs. I required a cordless phone for the bedroom while keeping the main telephone in the living room. The AT&T EL51203 solved the problem nicely. The main base connects to the telephone line, while the second handset sits in its charging cradle in the bedroom and requires only an electrical outlet. No additional telephone wiring is needed. The sound is clear, the display and keypad are easy to see, and the general setup is straightforward. Note: I would keep a wire splitter at the ready. I already had an AT&T 1740 answering machine that I wanted to continue using. I connected the phone system so that my existing answering machine would still pick up calls. A telephone-line splitter can accomplish this, although the cleaner arrangement is to connect the incoming line to the answering machine’s **LINE** jack and then connect the cordless-phone base through the answering machine’s **TEL SET** jack. Personally, I would avoid paying extra for the version with the answering system built in. That model provides only about 15 minutes of total message-recording time. Since I already owned a separate answering machine, the less expensive EL51203 was the better choice. For anyone who needs one telephone line to serve two rooms, this is a practical and reasonably priced solution. It gave me a living-room phone, a bedroom extension, and clear cordless sound without requiring another cellular line.

Cant really say....
Honestly, I got these a week ago-ish and plugged them in to charge. I only just today plugged it in to the modem. Like many others, I was in need to replace an older set that the batteries just wouldn't charge anymore. I downgraded with these because we never used the answering machine with the old set and didnt need so many extra handsets. With that being said: 1) There is no answering machine on this set. If you need that you need to look for a set that does (they are about $30 more), or make sure you order some kind of answering service (which will cost you a monthly subscription). 2) I plugged them in and heard a dial tone, so they work. 3) people we dont care to talk to have been calling and it rings so we know they work lol. We dont really use the house phone, but sometimes need it. 4) what you get with thos set: the one main phone and charger base that plugs into wall line or modem (including the phone cord to plug into base and jack - which I didnt use, I just plugged it into the one I unhooked the old phone from); and one small charger base with extra phone. 5) I already had phone service so I just plug-n-go. I did not have to do anything. Once I plugged it in there was a dial tone. Immediaty, the extra phone had dial tone, too. No registering or connecting lines or anything. Cant comment on durability, but if they last a year or 2 then, $40 well spent. It was a cheap option to get the bare minimum for our needs.

A little outdated
I know these phones have been around for years but man they don't make phone book setup easy. They work great but setup for an elderly person is tough. Visibility is also meh.

Does not support 220/240v!
Description does not provide what electricity the bricks run, sadly these do not work in Saudi Arabia as most houses now are 240v! Returned, and refunded. ((This review is entirely based on the electricity input of the device, I have not tested the device itself))
