Great Value, Decent product
I went through 2 of the Germanikure brand glass files, which I loved, but twice they broke in my backpack. After breaking 2 that cost $15 i figured it was worth a shot trying these since i could get 4 of them for less than $13. I was a bit worried they'd be the kind where grit is added onto the glass instead of etched into the glass itself, but these are the real deal. only thing I don't love is the color, but I'll take it for the price. The cases are also a nice feature. hopefully I won't be breaking any more.

These Glass Nail Files Will Make Your Nails Feel Like Butter!!
(See Photos)Purchased from seller: VAGA SHOP USThese nail files are amazing!!! Note, this is the first time I have ever purchased crystal glass nail files. I have always heard they were the way to go but never saught them out, until I decided to order my next nail files online (convenience) and came about them here. Isn't Amazon the best???!I thought these were a bargain for the set of 4, under $7. They took forever to ship, no longer than anything else I usually receive from Asia though.Arrived in perfect condition, well packaged. I am now a permanent glass file kinda gal- no turning back, ever!! I've been missing out, like, big time! Haha..First off, I absolutely love that they have a pointed end, unlike regular emery board files! I hadn't thought about it but practically speaking, if anyone else has thumb nails like mine lol... where the cuticle is not perfectly round, a bit more like square with round corners, haha... These pointed ends are just awesome! Especially for me who (confession!!) has picked-up a terrible habbit of removing my cuticles....These glass files make my nails feel like butter (and my husbands lol, he was in for a treat of a manicure while watching The Voice, ha!). What my nails are especially thankful for, is that these files actually smooth out my cuticles and the skin around my nails, also like butter! If anyone else has experienced hardened or over-grown cuticles, you know that no amount of moisturizer compares to the feeling of removing them (terrible as that is- don't do it, they grow back worse!)! Well these can file, while smoothing, in a way that doesn't quite feel like any grit of sand paper (I've tried just about all styles of regular nail files). I can't really explain it but if you've yet to try one- I definitely recommend these!!Dry cuticles or not, here are a treat I think every woman (and man for that matter) deserves!!! Put a little cuticle oil, essential oils of choice, or hand cream on, and then put these on for the night or even just ten minutes... It's just like putting thin cotton socks on after a moisturizing foot soak- the cotton just locks in all the moisture and feels wonderful! They are of course sold in smaller packs but I think these were a great buy and I recommend them: CARA Model 810 Cotton Glove Dispenser Box, Small, 24 CountSince I do remember seeing a few mixed reviews, I listed the seller I purchased these glass files from at the top of this review and uploaded a few pictures. Very happy with my purchase and do recommend you buy from this seller with confidence. Smile. Hope this helps!*UPDATE - 9/25/15 - Just received another set after giving too many of my others away, lol. Purchased from same seller and received the same colors with sleeves. They are now labeled with brand name; uploading another photo. Same excellent quality!

Just received - already ordering more...
As soon as I finish this review, I'm ordering two more sets of these. I want to make sure that I am never without these again.I have had a mostly hate/hate relationship with nail files for the last 10 years or so. It used to be that you could go to CVS or Sally's and buy a nice padded emery board with a good grit - not too rough, not too fine - that would last seemingly forever. I have never liked metal files... they seem to inevitably "skip" on my nails and the sensation makes my body clench the same way nails on a chalkboard do most people. And the typical brown thin emery board was always difficult for me to grip well. So I've pretty much muttered & cursed my way through a few hundred sub-par padded boards over the last decade.I don't know what prompted me to give these a try... but I think it really came down to the simple fact that I felt like I'd tried everything else, and worst case scenario, if I tried one and it was useless for me - my sister-in-law and/or niece would probably enjoy the other four.Yes, well... they're going to have to pry these - AND the two additional sets I'm about to order - out of my cold (but perfectly manicured!) dead fingers. Hmmm...I guess maybe I should be a good sister/aunt and get them each a set as well. LOLIf you feel like you just cannot find an emery board or file that satisfies you, I truly urge you to at least give these a try. I think that most women (and men - my husband has also given his stamp of approval) who have difficulty finding that "just right" file may find themselves really pleasantly surprised by these.Mine came packaged with each file in its own little sleeve, then all five inside a small bubble wrap sleeve, and that inside a padded envelope. I can see where it is possible there could be breakage in shipping this way, though mine arrived in pristine condition. From what I've read about Cheeky, I don't doubt that they would replace any broken ones if that occurred - and I know Amazon would. I intend to store my unused files in a small box, for safe keeping. I also have a long, thin, felt-lined box that once came with a "fancy" pen (the pen has long disappeared). My plan is to keep one in there, tucked inside my purse, so I won't have to worry about breakage when I'm out & about. Though these do not seem nearly as fragile as I thought they would be, so that may be overkill. This was definitely one of the best "purchasing experiments" I've tried in some time!

Fragile
These are pretty good. The file isn't just sprayed on the glass, it's actually etched. You don't want that spray garbage. I've had better, but I paid a few dollars more and only got 1 full size and one half size one on that purchase, but they seem to be a little more sturdy. As soon as I got these I broke 2 of them the first day. I dropped one when taking it outta the package and it broke in 3 pieces and then I was filing my nails in bed and went to reposition myself and put my hand on the bed holding the file and put a little weight on and snapped it, so both incidents were my fault and there's several more in the pack so it's not a huge deal. I would buy again. I like that I can keep them stashed around the house and in different hand bags so I can always have a file on hand. I can't stand having a jagged nail that gets caught on stuff or hurts when I have an itch to scratch

Sturdy & Gets Job Done
Sturdy, simple design, effective.I keep one of these files in my purse, my bathroom, my work desk, and Car. These files are sturdy & get the job done when I need to cut & file my nails. The case it comes in protects it well.5 of 5 stars, would buy again
