IRIS Premier 5-Drawer Chest with Natural Wood Finish Top, White

These storage chests are simply amazing! We just remodeled our 1st Grader's room with a new white trundle and white and wood dresser from a build it yourself mega store (if you know what I mean), and were at a loss for a night stand. We needed one that was light weight and on casters so that we could roll it out of the way when we pull out the trundle. This works and matches perfectly! We added a second one in the room for extra clothing storage, and now just added a third to use for paper goods and craft supplies near our light wood computer station in our living room.I try to buy eco-friendly and/or used products whenever possible, and wasn't keen on the idea of adding particle board with mystery glues or solid wood from a rainforest, so this is perfect for my needs. All of the plastic used is poly propylene (5), so it is recyclable and shouldn't release toxic off gases (doesn't smell like a thing to me at all). The top is some kind of formica or plastic laminate, not paper, so it is quite durable. I also love the way that the drawers are interchangeable, so that a 3 drawer & 5 drawer can be reconfigured to two 4 drawer chests. We haven't done that yet as the current price of the 5 drawer is a little steep.These are perfect for a kids room as they are light weight, safe, and affordable. They look great if the drawers are facing you (the sides look a little utilitarian). We might ultimately replace the one in the living room, in which case we'll be happy to use that one in a closet.My three all arrived in perfect condition in sturdy boxes and 2 inch Styrofoam at the top and bottom. The first two came in the factory box inside an additional box. The last one came just in the factory box.One thing - each drawer has a cap weight of 9lbs, so don't over stuff. Also, we put heaviest items on the bottom drawer and lighter in the upper ones. As with many lightweight chests, if all drawers are full to the max, and more that one drawer is pulled out, it will by tippy. We don't have this issue with the ones used for clothing, but this would happen with the one we have filled with paper & craft supplies.

Attractive and has large roomy drawers, but a little overpriced. It's made of white plastic and it looks like white plastic. There's no disguising it. Well, you could put contact paper on it, which would be cute if you were using it in a teen girl's room or a nursery. It also becomes damaged very easily. I already have a crack in a drawer from normal use and the top popped off when we picked it up to move it (our mistake, I guess.) We popped it back on though. But it's useful and it's nice it's made in the USA.

Somehow this looks like decent quality in the photos. It was falling apart out of the box. Really cheap feel to the plastic. Each drawer has a face plate on it that pulls of when you open the drawer. I returned it and honestly would not use it if it was free. I bought the Sterlite wide 3 drawer unit instead for $20 and it's holding up MUCH better.

I liked this a great deal, at first. I liked how compact and clean the lines are. I liked the crisp white plastic against the laminated (veneer) wood top. It's lovely to look at.HOWEVER, the covers to the drawers snapped off after one year of very gentle use. Nothing I do can get those covers to snap back on. What a disappointment and a waste of money.

This looks nice, top is pretty solid, and arrive put together...other than that, it is pretty cheaply made, maybe slightly better than sterilite products. The drawers do not slide easily and they don't line up. The top drawer was cracked upon delivery and with no damage to box, but the box could have had pressure put on it during shipment that cracked the drawer without visibly damaging the box. This item is not suitable for shipping without being bubble wrapped or padded. I will return for refund and keep looking.

This storage unit was perfect to meet my needs. I wanted a nice looking, portable storage rack that could be used to stow my husband's fishing gear in his Tackle Room, so I bought two of these units for him as a Christmas gift. They are attractive, durable, and very easy to move. I also loved the flexibility offered by the stacking drawers. We were able to remove a drawer from one unit and add it to another, making a taller storage rack for an open space and a shorter storage rack to go under a table. The other nice feature is the faux wood top, which is very durable and practical for an area where things often get wet or dusty. The unit is easy to clean and easy to move when I want to vacuum or mop underneath, but best of all, it conceals all the fishing gear that made our Tackle Room look messy. You can find less expensive storage units, but I felt the price for this unit was very reasonable when you consider the quality of construction.

The unit seems well made, the drawers open and close well, the top looks good -- especially when you consider it's all plastic. The plastic is thicker than other units I've seen in stores, so it just seems a grade higher than most. Most importantly, the top doesn't sag when 30 lbs of speakers were put on top, so the top drawer still opened easily. I didn't give it 5 stars only because the wheels are a bit stiff, but perhaps this was for a reason -- you don't want it moving around TOO easily!
