No battery included, despite description.
Unit is fine, but there is no lithium battery included as promised. You can use AA batteries instead.

Misleading product description however unit itself is fantastic.
At the time of writing, despite reviews dating back years, this product still states that it includes battery and case, however sadly this is not the case. I will however offer an opinion on the Dymo Rhino 4200 which is a great value label writer that is very convenient to use, I purchased this for use with Dymo Heat Shrink for network installs which I think overall, this will be great for, the print quality is decent enough to be easily read and the keyboard layout allows for quick and simple label making. I've given this a 3 star rating due to the item not matching the description at the time of purchase however I would recommend this if you are looking only for the base unit.

Incorrect Listing: Does not include ANYTHING
The product is missing: Carry case, rechargeable lithium-ion battery, & AC adapter. Sent back to Amazon for a refund. Don't waste your time and money.

Product Listing Misleading - had to pick a star
Note that this Amazon listing is just for the bare labeller without accessories, despite the description that implies it's labeller + case + lithium-ion battery + charger. Requested correct product, got the same thing back.

Easy to use but also has a ton of options and can print many different characters. Easy to replace the labels. Uses a lot of battery but it can also be plugged directly in the wall which is what I use, no need for batteries that way even though they last a long time in the unit. After powering on, the first label that comes out will be too long, you have to first print just one letter, cut it and then print what you want, no big deal.

Funciona muy bien, la persona que la utiliza esta encantada con ella.

Excellent product and easy to use. Options for printing the labels are ideal for the purpose. I have already changed batteries and the cartridge, and the machine continues to work very well.

I'm on my second one of these. The first one lasted 5+ years and still works. Kind of. Read on. First: Most any device with a keyboard is QWERTY-style, which this label maker is. But you'd be surprised how many label makers, including other DYMO models are not QWERTY. I've been using a keyboard on a daily basis for over 30 years now, so any keyboard that isn't QWERTY drives me nuts. Second: It's pretty sturdy. The rubber bumpers allow for some drops and bumps. My biggest complaint is the biggest weak point of this model. The weak point on this model is the tape cartridge retention system It's a bunch of little plastic hooks that snap over the tape cartridge body. After a lot of use, they wear out and no longer retain the cartridge securely. You can't bend them back because they are plastic and fatigued. If you use the label maker often, they may wear out sooner than you'd like. At that point you have to wrap a rubber band around the tape door. At that point it will still print but not reliably because the cartridge isn't sitting like it's supposed to. I've used this model to print everything from standard labels in all sizes it uses (1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 3/4", but I prefer the 3/4". You can fit three lines of 12-point text on a 3/4" label. I also have printed heat shrink tube labels which are more gimmicky than useful in my opinion. But, YMMV. The Dymo brand labels are stupidly expensive. There are many "compatible" labels on Amazon. Find a brand that works well enough for your liking and just buy a ton of them before they change the overseas unpronounceable name to yet something else you can't pronounce and now you're scared to buy it again because you're not sure if it's the same thing. I have used aftermarket labels in this printer for basically the entire time. 75% of the time, they work all the time. Again, find what works well enough and stick with it. As long as you are REALLY careful when inserting/removing the tape cartridges, this printer will last you a long time. Takes 6AA batteries, which last a good 6 months with moderate use. Dymo sells a rechargeable batter for this but it's pricey and prefer just being able to put new batteries in the thing and keep printing.
