Had them for a month. Nice sound starting around 3000 rpm. I had to cut the rubber a little to sit flush with the engine. Over all easy install and good product.

Said it would fit my car but the MAF won't fit and so far my check engine light has come on twice for system too lean and it's only been on for a week. Other than that it's nice and you can definitely hear it.

Easy to install if you take your time and stay focused.

First of all, I have had this in my Lancer for all of 3 hours and I already love it. Sounds great, nice growl when accelerating hard but not too loud when driving reasonably. I would have given this item 5 stars were it not for the install issues. The padding on the heat shield got in the way of the ECU so I had to remove some of it, not such a big deal. I live in Canada and apparently up here (in the greatest country on earth :-P) they put shear bolts on our ECU housing so you can't open it. One of the steps from Takeda is to remove one of the ECU bolts and insert a longer one to attach the heat shield. I had to spend about 30 minutes with a dremel getting that shear bolt off. Also, the silicone hose that attaches to the throttle body isn't at the exact angle I needed, but it's on there. Overall, great product, I would buy it again. But if you have a Canadian Lancer be prepared for some extra work.

when i first got i was happy came very fast but soon after install my check engine came on code came as too lean i called afe and they did everything possible to help me resolve my problem they sent me a pre filter but that didn't help i tried reseting it checking all the connections but nothing i cleared the memory with a obd-2 reader i unplugged the battery nothing the light comes and goes every week i only commute 10 miles to work and the weather is not that bad to throw off the MAF sensor but the quality of this intake is very nice i wanna keep it but im afraid something might happen to my engine ): if any one has any advice or tips let me know i guess its a 50/50 chance you might not get it but my cars computer wont accept it I've also read a lot of forums but nothing helps even cleaned the maf sensor it has been already a month since ive had it I have an 09 lancer gts CVT

Took a little while to install on my 09 lancer. There was some definite improvement on acceleration. Car has a slight roar when stepping on the gas(full throttle) will update if the car passes smog with this intake installed(I live in Cali) Update: car passed smog with this installed. Made sure the sticker it came with was in a very visible spot.

Its amazing I would note it really doesnt fit the 2017 Lancers. I couldnt really bolt it to the heat shield as well as I couldnt put my sensor back on. I had to use tape to keep the sticker on. But so far its fine.

I have had many kinds from no name to k&n and out of all of them I found that k&n one had better quality control and fitment I spent 480 on this and deeply regret it. The holes for the box don't line up for the pegs on the car and the bolt hole wouldn't line up with the ecu, than the amount of oil they put on the parts is gross. Out of experience this is not as good as they hype is about wait till there is a major discount
