Atlas Gloom Unquiet Dead 2nd Edition

My wife and I have played this game a couple times now with our friends; this has provided our best game nights in years! There is a little bit of a learning curve, but once one understands all of the details (point values, icons, etc.) to which one must pay attention, it is incredibly enjoyable, particularly when one creates stories to go along with gameplay!

It was not what i thought it would be. I thought i was getting an undead family but turns out i can just turn a current family member undead. Still fun and worth a playthrough.

Arrived in perfect shape. Running a game in November, and looking forward to adding this to the rest!

My friends and I love playing Gloom and this is a great and creative expansion; It comes with new green Story cards which help aid your family and Undead Modifier cards which can bring your dead back to life and greatly help your family and abilities. This expansion adds a great twist to the game & even more gloomy mishaps for counter & event cards.

To those posting reviews that they didn't know it was only an expansion pack, it says so in the description. I had no issues with this purchase and the deck is good on the eyes. Haven't tried it as an expansion yet, but overall the shipping and quality is excellent.

This is the second expansion I purchased for Gloom, right after Unhappy Homes. Be sure to note that this expansion DOES NOT include a new family, however, it does introduce the ability to resurrect dead family members as undead and continue to play modifiers on them, as well as story cards that grant your family special bonuses, if you meet the requirements to claim them. I anticipate that I’ll purchase the remaining two expansions as well.

A fun expansion to Gloom, but doesn't add another family (and thus another player) like some of the others do. The undead cards make the game that much more fun for Halloween though.

Great expansion to a great game, adds more interesting twists to an already gloomy story.

We ended up giving our game away. The print is just too small, even for my Hubby who still has perfect eyesight. I have crappy eyesight, so I play it on the pc where I can magnify the text. Other than that, this is a fun game. I love it. I love the clear cards and how they are used. I love the morbid humour and the characters are a hoot! The cards are durable and will probably last for generations.

You need a Gloom game to play that expansion pack. There are two new features: stories and undead cards with which you may change your family members into undeads (you count them for winning points and they still may get new modifiers). All together, more cards - more fun.

The cards were very nice.

This game is as good as the people you play it with! Heap misfortune on your family whilst trying to make your opponents as happy as possible. Each game will be different as the story you create will alter each time. Thoroughly enjoyable!
