Review: Horrendously entertaining - This story is frightening to the extreme.i was morbidly curious when I decided to buy this book. The story is a little repetitive in the middle but somehow I was never ever to put it down for long. I hope that this story is entirely a work of fiction because the thought that anybody where being tortured like this, is extremely disturbing to me. Anyhow, the finale is quite disturbing. Anyhow, I am glad I read the book. I gives me a new appreciation for life and the average freedoms we all take for granted in our average lives. Review: Just wasn't for me..... - Laura and Bernard have the strangest relationship I have ever read about. Let me back up a minute here and let you know that this book was recommended to me in a book challenge this month my first impression was that the book synopsis sounded appealing so I was looking to reading it but I thought the book cover looked a bit scary, and believe me when I tell you that this cover doesn't even show a fraction of the modifications that were done to Laura. J. G. Leathers is a new to me author so I am not sure if this is a typical book of his but WOW it was so out there, at times I felt it belonged under science fiction and not BDSM. This was bondage to the extreme like I have never seen it before. I read some dark and hardcore BDSM books but never with the Bondage to the level that this was taken to throughout the book. I had a really hard time with this book its only 151 pages and it took me 9 days to finish it. 9 DAYS!!! I was constantly putting it down, I even picked up books longer than this and finished them in two days while still trying to complete this one. Needless to say I didn't find it enjoyable but that doesn't mean it wasn't well written because it was, it was just that I couldn't wrap my head around the stuff being done. YES I know this is fiction and whatnot but still. While I personally wouldn't recommend this to most people I know there are a few people I think may enjoy this type of beyond hardcore BDSM read. It's up to you to decide if its a book you think you would enjoy. Happy Reading!!!
