GREAT value, quiet, functional and attractive.
LOVE my replacement induction stove! This is my 3rd—the 2 others cracked because, as I wanted with my last installer, they should have had a wood or steel reinforcement running down the middle beneath them for support (never comes with these stoves—he had to make one custom). The weight of large pots and pans will take their toll over time.I ordered another 30” induction stove (GASLAND) that ended up being too short for the cutout - 19” instead of 21.5” - so watch out for depth measurements! This one was true to the size advertised: 30” x 21.5” and fits perfectly.I LOVE the “sync burners” on the 2 left burners for pancakes and French toast on my induction-friendly griddle on Sunday mornings. It heats up and cools down quickly, and is very easy to clean. Best price after shipping for WEEKS for a 30” indiction stove to replace my 2nd cracked one.The only thing I don’t like are the beeps every time I turn it on and adjust temps. My dog freaks out on digital sounds, so this is a huge downer. BUT I haven’t tried the wifi connect yet and am hopeful it will provide an option to turn off the sounds. Otherwise, cooking noises are MUCH quieter than my previous brands (Frigidaire).

Good solid cooktop
We bought this cooktop as a replacement for our 10 plus year old GE induction cooktop. The old one made a loud sound while boiling water and, well, the replacement part was about as much as a whole new unit.GE cooktops don't need a large cutout in your countertop (about 28.5" wide), so since our previous unit was also a GE this was the simple solution to avoid additional granite cutting. Other brands were saying you needed 29 or 29.5 inch width so they got eliminated fairly quickly. Were I cutting through plywood or some other softer material we might have gone with a different brand. This one is updated from our previous model to include sound feedback when you turn on/off a burner or change the heat setting. It also has the ability to link the two smaller burners on the left into a larger casserole-dish-sized burner. Not sure how often we'll use that one but it's there if needed. The transformer on the old one blew after 10 years - I'm hoping this one will last considerably longer but am not expecting it to. nonetheless, for the price (couple hundred below MSRP) so far, so good.

GE's service is byzantine
the stovetop arrived defective in that one segment of the one's digit of the timer doesn't work. There was evidence that the unit had been previously installed; probably returned for this reason. After calling GE support and emailing them pictures of the problem, I still had to make an appointment for a repair person to come out the following week. This person met the schedule, looked at the display and said, "yup, I have to order a board. See you next week." I said, "Can you give me a big rebate and we call it good?" It seems that GE would rather spend hundreds of dollars (note other reviewers describing $900 repair costs) than make a deal beneficial to them, me, and the environment. I'll report more after the next service. (I got the additional warranty)Other than that, it's an awesome stovetop. You can set a temperature so fine that your pasta will boil, but not boil over. It's the best stovetop on which I've every cooked.Downside, I had get an induction "moka" (single espresso maker) but its base was too small for it to be recognized. I do have a stand-alone induction "burner" and I can make espresso using it. I guess you can't have it all.

They DO NOT WARRANTY THIS
Eight months in and the cooktop started misbehaving. Burners were turning off by themselves, pans that used to work didn't work any more, or would work on one burner but not a different one.Service call scheduled for 7/22/2020 - Tech said the ticket was marked "collect" and not a warranty call (A & E Factory Service Company... Instructed to call GE again and set it up correctly. He pulled the top up, set it back down, and left without any work. It was no longer level, so we couldn't use it. Called 7/22/2020 to reschedule.Service call scheduled for 8/3/2020 - Tech called before appointment time and said the ticket was wrong again. Called A & E and the operator insisted that "collect" meant GE and he would call the tech and have him come right back. Did not happen. Called 8/3/2020 to reschedule.Service call scheduled 8/13/2020, new tech sent. (Yeah!), guess what? The tech said that the ticket said "collect", he would have to charge me to work. So, THREE SERVICE CALLS SCHEDULED and no work actually done still. Am on hold with GE (again) to see if this can really happen. Two and a half hours on hold and then got disconnected... 800-386-12158/26/2020 Just an update, still have not had a service call. A&E Factory Service teased me yesterday with a service call between 10 and 2, then 2 and 4, and then nothing. Today they have rescheduled my service call to September 10th!!Tough for a family of 8 to live off of a portable burner for over 30 days, what's two more weeks?

Fantastic induction cooktop!
The media could not be loaded. I absolutely love this cooktop. It’s exactly what I wanted. I hated my electric cooktop because it took forever to heat or to cool down and cleaning it was an absolute nightmare. Everything stuck to it or burned on to it…where as this cooktop is so easy to keep clean as you’re cooking because if you spill, you can just wipe it off because the cooktop doesn’t get hot only the pan gets hot. I absolutely love it and would recommend it.
