Love this product. It's easy to install and enter the code. It's also easily hidden and small enough to fit in a door jamb.

This is a pretty good product, but I'd like the numbers to be easier to read. I installed at a rental property about 8 months ago. If it's sunny out, or if it's dark and someone is using a cell phone light to illuminate, then the background of the tumblers (which appears to be chrome plated) is so shiny that it obscures reading of the numbers. I find it necessary to tilt my head up/down or side to side, to mitigate the glare and read the numbers. I'd like the numbers to be larger and to have better contrast compared to the background. Update 3/6/25: I've had these 2 boxes ~2.3yrs. The coating (paint) is bubbling and peeling badly. See pictures. They are installed on a house ~2 miles from beach. One on a covered porch near the front door and one under the house (the house is on stilts) next to a garage door. Neither is in direct sunlight nor is exposed to rain. However, it is hot and humid. One box has been sticking for about 8 months and it takes some work to pull the little black lever to open. These boxes are opened and closed often, so it's not a matter of too little use. Other than the sticking just mentioned, both boxes have continued to work fine, but their appearance has become unacceptable considering the beautiful beach house they are attached to. I contacted Rudy Co and they have agreed to replace under warranty which is advertised as lifetime. Furthermore, Rudy Co were very responsive and gracious. I am staying with my 4 star review. They have functioned mostly ok for 2.3 yrs in a hot/humid environment and the Co. is standing behind their product.

Installed into a 4” x 4” post. I did use longer and a little thicker screws than what was provided. They probably would sufficed, but I wanted a little extra. Very easy to change the number to something I wanted. Short of a sledgehammer, going to be hard to bust into it.

**UPDATE** This lock box is still where I put it and has made life SO convenient! (As long as you can get your kids to change the code after they've used it.) That's not on the item, that's on my kids! I don't know why I didn't invest in one if these years ago but am STILL happy for it to be on my home. Go ahead and get it. You'll thank your past self. ***************************************** This box is something I really wanted because I have been hiding my keys for a long time. Now that my kids are older and don't look around when they go to my hiding spots, I worry that people see them getting in and where that key is. NOW I DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT IT!! This is EXTREMELY easy to program to your code and re-program on demand if the code is an issue. Just remember it because there are no short cuts to get into it and it's built like a tank so you may never get inside if you had to. It may be easier to break the door down. I would purchase all over again. I have only had it on the porch for 3 days now, but sometimes I deliver to stores that have this same style box - normally they are non branded or MASTER - this has to be the same make because it's identical, even on the inside. I love having the peace of mind and also never have to be tethered to the house or have to come home while in the middle of something because a family member got locked out! It has room for multiple keys and/or key cards. I imagine other things could fit too, but this will be just keys for me at this point. I would recommend it at this price point all day - I was expecting them to be much more than this!!
