The person that assembled mine either hates the 17th or has stolen it for themselves. For some reason I don’t pretend to know, the 17th is missing from the shipment. It seems when the 17th comes around we will approach it with sadness as it clearly will be empty.Craftsmanship is ok. The wood is lightweight so you can see the rough splitting edges at the seems. The boxes are glued fiberboard. I would use an xacto knife and some elmers to replace the 17th but the time would cost me more than the materials. With that, the box is decorated nice and the picture has a well done themed image. It looks good when set out on a table or countertop.The sparkling paint used on the wood carved “first page” creates a wonderful contrast with the natural wood grain of the Swiss fashioned scenic backdrop.

This was a great piece to store my Harry Potter advent calendar pieces. I do have one piece (Hagrid) that doesn’t fit in the drawer well but there is a area of the display above the houses that leaves enough room for my piece to sit there and be stored until next Christmas. Otherwise all the other figure fit into the drawers well.

The box is as it is presented in the pictures. For the money it is not bad quality. Not top notch with boxes of irregular sizes and the little pulls being a bit fiddly. The positions on some of the boxes are not interchangeable. The inside picture does not look slapdash and does add a nice homey feel.

Beautiful wooden advent box. Nice quality for the price. I was very pleased with this item. I purchased 3 boxes. The wooden drawers are perfect for placing treats for the holidays.

Our Elf, Max, had Santa make this Advent calendar for our son because we didn't have a countdown set up. He was overjoyed when he found Max and the new treasure in the morning. It's a beautiful piece that can be used for many years to come, even when he doesn't believe in Santa and elves anymore.

Super cute, but received duplicate 23 drawers and missing drawer 24. In seeing other reviews, this seems to be a common problem.

Perfect. Drawers big enough for about 3 Hershey kisses or a lottery ticket folded up. Pretty.

The box does not close properly and some of the little boxes fit a bit too snug. There were places where the wood was cut roughly. Overall, though, it was a nice addition to our Christmas decorations. Next fall I will pull it out and do some sanding and remove/reattach the hinges for a better fit.

It seems sturdy enough, but I’m a little disappointed with the finishing. The wood is splintered in places, and the paint is chipped in numerous places. The screw for the handle knobs goes through the wood, so anything you put into the numbered compartment is going to get poked/ripped by the pointy screw. The wooden picture on the inside of the box is very nice.

This product arrived very quickly. The drawers were perfect size to just fit round Lindt chocolate balls. The design is laser cut, but is charming and imparts a handmade vibe. The wood is thin and a bit rough to the touch. There is no clasp, so you'd have to add your own if you wanted one to keep it closed, but I plan on storing it laying down on a shelf. Bought it for my elderly mother who has trouble making out the dates now. This should be easier to follow. I have the option of making the number black if I want to mix the sequence of boxes to make them random, or leave as is and she can just open them in order. Will put a special truffle in the last box for Dec 25th. A nice build up to the holidays.

My partner grew up with advent calendars and I thought of giving him one we could use every Christmas.He has more of a minimalistic taste, so I wasn't looking for something super cheesy and colorful. In that sense this calendar was perfect because it is more classy and crafty. It really is very beautiful and true to the pictures, I also like that it is easy to put away and can look like a book.In my experience and because I wanted to implement gifts a bit bigger than candy, I wish the little drawers were a bit bigger, they fit exactly one Ferrero, but I guess that is their common purpose.I do think it is a bit overpriced, but that just depends on individual judgement since the product is true to the description and pictures.

Worth every penny! I absolutely love this advant calendar. It is well made and good size drawers. In each drawer I fit 1 normal size lindett and 1 Hershey kiss or 3 kisses and 1 scratch ticket folded. Really love the sparkle on the white part. 100% recommend!

I ordered two -- one for myself and one for my husband. Cute in theory, but the quality is not worth the price. There were areas of missing paint, etc. Also, the drawers are SO SMALL that it is hard to find anything that fits well in them.
