SUNPIN 17.5" Portable DVD Player with 15.6"HD Swivel Screen, 6-Hour Battery

I ordered this DVD player back in January and was very happy with it. It was nice and big and the screen resolution was decent. Up until about 2 weeks ago it worked great when all the sudden the screen turned bright pink and some of the pixels started dying around the edges make it nearly impossible for movie viewing. Obviously, I was a little frustrated but I reached out to the Sunpin customer service about the warranty on the device and was very pleasantly surprised! The player had a 12 month warranty so I was covered by it and after answering a few questions and a little back and forth, the company said they would send me another one ASAP. I was very pleased as good customer service is very important to me and something you can't always count on these days. Overall, I would say the the player is very good quality and I just got a fluke. It has a good resolution and a long battery life. Also, having the ability to flip the screen back on it's self is a huge plus and something I use a lot. Very pleased overall and would definitely buy again and recommend.

Don't expect a Bluetooth, but the rest is really good. Easy to use, very good graphic and sound. The size of the screen is the ideal. The weight is incredibly low. I love this product and ... my wife too.

I couldn't be happier with this product. Super clear picture. The volume was great. I would recommend this to any one.

I have returned this portable DVD / media player for 2 reasons. Overall build quality is good, I would highly recommend this unit for anyone needing casual portable content playability. However, (return reason #1) for my needs, the ability to navigate an audio CD content (without a lot of fuss) is a big must, as we have members in our Church that sing or play an instrument and will bring their backing tracks in the form of a USB flash drive or an audio CD. The ability to navigate these and cue / pause / hold their track is a must. This is easy enough for flash drives, it gets inserted, and a content menu appears once read and I can arrow down to the desired track. With the CD however, no menu appears, the first song of the CD immediately starts, and it will stop on command only after the track starts. Moving to any other song within and cuing it up so that it sits there and waits for the start command is very awkward. Moreover, the audio quality seems to lack richness and bottom end, and sounds a little scratchy...not an overdrive / running out of headroom / clipping distortion, just a general lack of detail. To be clear, the external audio out is plugged into a sound system. And I have tried other CD/ Flash players in this price range and lower that sound full. So...would I recommend this unit? It depends on the audience. For someone needing to watch DVDs, listen to audio CDs / flash media casually, and need the portability, absolutely! For someone needing random cue-ability and great audio quality, not so much.

So far I’m loving it. I haven’t had it long enough to say about the quality, but if anything changes I’ll update my review. I love the picture quality. Great color. The remote is simple and easy to use. Update: I have used our DVD player 4 days a week since August. It quit playing the dvds. I contacted Sunpinpro, and they got back in touch with me within a day. They have been amazing. I love the DVD player and the costumer service is even better. I would definitely purchase from them again.

I am so disappointed in this dvd player. My daughter’s old one broke so I got her a new one. Out of 15 DVDs I tried only 3 played. Three needed a password I don’t have and they were kids movies. The little mermaid. Nemo and frozen. The rest didn’t play at all. Most were nickelodeon shows. These were all kids DVDs not blue ray. Only good things I can say about it is the screen is big. The sound is good. Picture is decent but that’s only judging from the three dvds I could actually play. Super disappointed and frustrated.

From the first time that I ordered it and started getting acknowledgments from suntan about when it was coming immediate responses to any questions that I asked and the remarkable quality of this 17+ inch DVD player has me giving it a “five” for sure! (I’d give it more if they were more stars available…! :-) I bought the DVD to start playing some of the dozens of DVDs have never yet opened in the last two years as I started to become a woodworker at 71… :-) Because this is so easy to set up so easy to have available I have reviewed a number of woodworking DVDs and immediately put much of what I’ve seen into practice…! All because the player with this amazing 180° swing screen is just so easy to use... BUT. be aware… If you’re getting this because you want to start playing concert DVDs or listening to your favorite tunes cranked to 200 dB… This would not be the item for you… But if you want to use it like I’m using it for instructional DVDs, or take it in the car and take along movies something for your wife to look at while you’re driving endlessly… :-) Or for the kids to use…! Then this will be outstanding! The timeliness of the responses and completeness of all information is only exceeded in my experience by the folks at Apple… This item is a great value! Les

Its great for travelling with kids . Provided a car charger so it is very good that you can charge it while travelling. This portable DVD player has a built in USB port, as well you can plug in earphones. Simple to use, especially for my 5 years old daughter. Lightweight, so she can carry it. Works well, battery life is great, the volume is a bit low if you want to listening very loud music, so I am connected to addinional speaker. Picture quality is good, that you can see it in the picture. Its excellent value for money.

Large screen, great images & sound. Very happy with purchase. Just ensure you have an incoming plug adaptor as only has USA plug.

Great size and works well so far. Easy to use.

I’m so delighted with the picture quality, and value. At 82 it’s given me a new leases of life looking at all the dvds of family and friends. Well worth the money. So handy as a portable.

Bought this for my husband as a Xmas present , he uses it for work and he says it’s excellent , clear sharp picture and good size screen

It appeared to be an excellent DVD player, but it was not exactly what my wife was looking for so I had to return it
