Amazing Product, super easy to use with just using a heaping tablespoon of the product, a cup of boiling water and placing a bowl over the drain. Both sides of the double kitchen sink are clog free and the slight odor is gone. It left the drain covers shiny and clean with the added bonus of it being safe for the environment. Highly recommend because it works and the price is low. I actually didn't have to purchase 2 containers because you use a small amount, but I'm so glad I did. Lastly, be prepared for actually hearing this amazing product working with strange sounds because as soon as you pour the water it begins working on the clogs. Be careful and follow the directions carefully... always protect your eyes and hands when using.Exothermic... be careful to keep your face away from the drain in case this causes water to boil and splatter out of the drain.Face shield is very recommended.My drain traps are PVC... metal drain traps might suffer cumulative damage.Absolutely destroys hair and grease clogs.Avoid contact with anything made of aluminum or aluminum alloys.Always treat lye with respect. It's extremely effective but has dangers that deserve very careful handling.

Used for my Cast Iron skillets . Read this!
This works great ... I mainly use it for bad bad bad rusted Cast iron skillets that I buy (cheap).. I get a heavy duty plastic square container that will hold several skillets and then I put hot water in it and then pour this in second (make sure you pour this in the water secondly) and mix it up with a wooden stick easily and then place your skillets in the container and check them in 24 hours, if not ready then, I place them back in the solution for another 24 hours . Again, that's if they are badly coroded and rusted and then using gloves the entire time, I scrub them down with my cast iron brush I got on Amazon (gotta love Amazon) and clean them up, wash them again and season them in the oven. I haven't used it in a clogged drain as of yet but my neighbor had and she swears by this stuff. WEAR GLOVES AND EYE WEAR ALWAYS WHEN MESSING WITH THIS STUFF!! It works! Not a bad price either as I bought two of them. I will update this when I have used it for the clog in my sink and tub. Quick Shipping!

Good quality lye.
Exactly what it supposed to do and more I use this for cast iron restoration and soap. Works so well. No broken / leaking package, shipped fast, size of bottle is perfect for what I need it for. I like these bottles because they are thicker.

Lye for making solid dish soap
I make my own dish soap and was looking for lye for making solid soap. This jar has been a good choice for the price and size. Using just a small amount I was able to make eight dish soap bars with a little bit of lye. I will have this jar for a long time!

Excellent for mud bug control in your lawn
Mug bugs tearing up my lawn until putting a tablespoon or more down the hole after moving their stovepipe vent to the side. Destroyed them in seconds and becomes inert in a couple hours after contact with the water in the burrows
