...with a small pinch of citric acid? It's delicious.
SweetLeaf Cola drops are a delicious alternative to sugary or artificially sweetened colas. It took some testing and reading other posts/reviews to find the perfect combination that made this drinkable and ultimately enjoyable for myself; that addition ended up being a pinch of citric acid -- literally, maybe 1/10 tsp per 8oz of carbonated water. The citric acid adds the slight "bite" that traditional sodas, like my old time favorite of Coca Cola, have. I now combo one full dropper full of the SweetLeaf cola with the 1/10tsp citric acid in a 8oz cup, with seltzer water from the neighborhood grocer, and happily drink it with just about anything. Prior to the citric acid, I couldn't quite bear the taste of this... it was missing something. I couldn't put a finger on it until seeing another review comment on the magical ingredient - alas! The taste is still quite different, and does have what all my friends refer to as the "stevia aftertaste", but to me, it's now quite enjoyable. For reference, citric acid is generally in a white, fine powder form. It was not carried by too many stores locally -- although Sprouts did have it in their "bulk spice" section such that I could give it a try, and I then ordered a 1 lb bag on Amazon (many, many options to choose from there, and a pound should last a lifetime if used just for these types of drinks, ha!). Also, apparently citric acid is used in all sorts of foods/drinks, bath toys, and even as a natural cleaner -- a cool find in itself! I've been going two months strong and am still quite happy with this concoction. All in all, a great alternative to the various colas on the market... particularly because Zevia is so expensive and standard soda brands are corn syrup-infused with other random ingredients. The one thing I'm missing in this setup is the caffeine... although I haven't noticed any effects, so I figure, it's for the better. The bottom line: if you've given the cola drops a try but didn't have citric acid at the time, it's probably worth a second shot. The citric acid is what made this enjoyable to me.

I Love This Product, But Received 3 Bottles That Look & Taste Very Off
I love this product, but cannot find it available in any retailers near me in this flavor. I use this to flavor my sparkling mineral water with 1/8 of a teaspoon of citric acid to give it that flavor of a pop. I was happy to find it on Amazon at a great price and added it to my subscribe and save. Like many of the other reviews, I use way more than the 10 drops as indicated on the product to flavor my bottle of sparkling water. Honestly, I use about 2 dropper fulls for the flavoring I like. This is a great alternative to buying diet sodas and my kids and family enjoy it as well. The best part is that I can give it to my kids without caffeine, sugars, chemicals and it doesn't stain if they happen to spill it. ***Update*** I just received my newest shipment of the stevia drops and they appear not to be colored the same brown as all of my previous shipments. I also received my subscribe and save order and the 2 bottles from that shipment also were not colored the dark caramel color. The smell of the product in all 3 bottles do not smell the same as the typical product. After tasting all three bottles in the water as stated above, this product is either incorrect, defective or the company has changed their product for the worse. Amazon has promptly issued a refund on all 3 bottles (I love Amazon customer service) and I have ordered a bottle from a third party seller on Amazon. This new bottle from the third party seller has the correct color and taste and smells much different than what was received from Amazon. None of the problem bottles were expired, however the bottles from Amazon were from a newer lot # then the bottle received from the third party seller. I hope this company has not changed their formula on this product to something that tasted this off. I have changed my rating of 5 stars to 1 star due to receiving 3 bottles of this product that were vastly different than what has been received in the past.

Great if you add with fresh lemon juice to some sparkling water
This is the best flavor of stevia drops by any brand that I have found, and I use them in sparkling water with a bit of fresh lemon juice to simulate a cola. The ratio of flavor extracts to sweetener liquid used in these drops is not very high, so you have to use a lot to get a little bit of flavor. It would be amazing if they would put more of the flavoring in these bottles, but as they are they are pretty good and I'm happy a product like this is out there. It isn't perfect and certainly doesn't taste strong like a real cola, but with some lemon added for some zest and tanginess, this product gives me just enough cola flavor that it will satisfy my cravings in a crunch. Without the lemon, it isn't nearly as good, but still adds some interest to sparkling water. I don't really recommend it for putting in plain water, but to each her own! :)

14 drops per 8 ounces of water
I DON'T generally comment on eatable products as everyone has there own idea of what tastes good or bad. I gave this 3 stars (up from one star) because there is nothing on the packaging or even on their website that indicates the suggested proportions. I finally found a way to email them as their chat was only open weekdays during normal business hours and it was the weekend for me. I upgraded them to 3 stars since they did answer my question by email the following Monday. I've never purchased an additive of any kind that didn't clearly indicate the suggested proportions before now. So, at the recommended 14 drops per 8 ounces of water, their recommended proportions for the half size bottle used by Soda Steam (about 15 ounces) would be 26/27 drops. To my taste this does give a sort of cola like drink. It wasn't to strong a flavor but adding more drops didn't improve the flavor to my taste. However, plenty of folks are saying it taste good to them. You might like it.

Adds flavor to club soda
I looked for something more healthy and less harmful to drink. I bought the Cola Sweet Drops to add to plain club soda, hoping it would be a good substitute for Diet Coke. It does add flavor to the club soda, but it doesn't have a significant cola flavor, plus the drink is clear rather than brown. If the drink was brown like cola, it might fool me into believing I was having a "coke." It takes 14 drops to each 16 oz. of "club soda cola" that I create, so it takes quite a bit of this 2 oz. bottle of flavoring. Overall, I like it and hopefully it will, over time, be a good substitute for the unhealthy drink I was consuming.

Tastes as expected
The cola flavor could be stronger, but it is as I expected it to be. If you're familiar with the taste of stevia and other artificial sweeteners, you can expect to taste it. Still very good for my fasting needs

Cola-flavored stevia, not stevia-sweetened cola flavor.
OK, so we'll start with the one plus: This is just Stevia extract, no other "bulking" sweeteners like sugar alcohol or sorbitol or anything like that. So you can be pretty confident you're not eating toxins. The problem is, the sweetening is so intense, you're barely aware of any "cola flavor". Four drops in a pint of soda water was all I could tolerate in terms of sweetness, and there was some background cola flavor, but it was so far in the background it felt like I was just drinking sugar water. I feel like you're better off getting plain stevia extract and playing around with other extracts to find a good approximation of cola - nutmeg is probably #1 on the list, if for no other reason than it's a reasonable approximation of kola nut at a much lower price. I'll use what I have, but I'll not be buying it again.

I quit Diet Coke by using these and seltzer water!
Listen, I know you don't know me. But I'm from the generation that was raised on Kool-Aid and pop. My mom was a diet Coke and therefore I was too! I don't remember a time in my almost 50 year life where I didn't have a Diet Coke at hand. But I managed to quit it! And that's a big deal. It's expensive and not good for you. Instead of drinking one can of Diet Coke a day that I did for a year, I switched to these cola flavored drops that are actually healthy and seltzer water. It taste just like fountain Diet Coke to me! At my local, I can get 1 L seltzer water for $.59, and this whole bottle which has 100 servings equals a tremendous savings of both my life and money. I don't need to say anything more.

Great healthy alternative
I love this product. It's a great alternative to Diet Coke or cola. Obviously it does not taste the same but it is somewhat similar. I drink alof of this in soda water and I barely touch the Aspartame drinks anymore. My only gripe is that there is no version with a bit of caffeine in it like you'd normally get in Coke or diet coke. It's a bit pricey for the amount you are getting.

A great alternative
At first I thought this was a bit sickly with a strange after taste when diluted with sparkling water but I added a few squeezes of fresh lemon juice and a few drops of apple cider vinegar and it tastes fantastic (probably best to drink it through a straw). I really wanted to stop consuming so much aspartame and this is exactly what I was looking for.

Tasted like cough syrup
It tasted like buckley's cough syrup no matter what concentration I used. Absolutely foul and inedible.
