Get a hydrometer as the kit does not include one.
I enjoy making wine. Making honey wine is very easy. The mead ferments in a short time. No need for a primary fermentation bucket. Mead has an active fermentation. You can see the process. Just watch the airlock. Honey is loaded with sugar and the yeast is enjoying it. The result is a sweet wine. 🍷 This is a wine with a strong bouquet. That bouquet goes into your nose and adds to the flavor. The kit is pretty nice. I suggest you buy a reliable hydrometer as the kit doesn’t have one. No need for any chemicals. The kit has everything you need to adjust the fermentation process. I have made enough wine over the years to feel qualified to give this kit a recommendation. If you’re on the fence about whether or not to buy this kit, I suggest that you do. It’s a fine way to be introduced to wine making.

From Beekeeper to Brewmaster: The Ultimate Side-Hustle for His Honey.
Since my brother is a beekeeper, I figured he needed a way to turn his liquid gold into something with a bit more... "kick." This kit was the perfect Christmas gift! The quality of the reusable equipment is top-notch, and the functionality is great for a beginner. It’s basically the ultimate "level up" for any honey enthusiast. The ease of use is impressive—he was able to jump right into the fermentation process without any issues. The airlock creates a perfect seal to keep the brew safe, which is crucial for a successful batch. It makes a 1-gallon batch, which is the perfect size to test out his own honey varieties. For the amount of fun and the high-end gear you get, the value for money is unbeatable. If you have a beekeeper in your life, this Must Bee Company kit is a total buzz!

First time brewing it's an A+
I'm 63 and I've never brewed anything before. I followed instructions to the letter 5 months ago and now have wonderful mead. I'm aging it another 6 months while I brew another gallon , this is quite fun and a great way to learn the process.

Simple and has everything you need....but I think there is a typo in the instructions
Overall, it is simple and easy to use and was a great way to do a first batch and learn the basics. Once I completed it and got it fermenting I started looking at more info on the subject and I think the instructions have a fairly significant typo. It says to add 1/5 of the pack of yeast, which was a bit of a problem, it's a 5g pack, trying to measure 1g doesn't work with any scale I had available. Worse, every recipe I looked at shows to use 5g of that yeast for a gallon of must.

Never Made Mead Before
Ive never made mead before. I saw a tiktok on how to make homemade wine. It worked and opened a new hobby for me. I assume this kit has everything I need. I will start on my 1st batch and return with an updated review.

Easy to follow instructions
This kit made it so simple learning how to make honey wine it has easy to follow instructions nice glass container I have not tasted the wine as we all know it’s better with age, but after shifting, it looks nice and clear. It was a fun low cost way to see if I want to turn it into a hobby.

Not very easy for beginners.
Not the biggest fan. The directions weren’t very clear and I even looked to YouTube to help clarify some questions, however their YT channel was not helpful. Other YouTube accounts had more information and tips. This is my first time making mead so I’m hoping everything goes well. I followed the directions the best I could. I will edit an update with results.

Prison Mead no more!
My enterprising son had (seriously!) made homemade "prison mead" while on prison style lock-down in college dorm room... - using grocery store honey, bread yeast, and a washed out empty milk jug - he said it was not bad and did the job.. we decided to upgrade a bit and try again - we got this kit, some good, organic honey from a local beekeeper, and some real food grade bottle sanitizer. We mixed up our first batch last night. TIPS - I did not realize this - but the mead - while completing fermentation in 2-3 weeks - is recommended to AGE for 4-6 months before drinking - we are looking forward to some at Christmas. This kit comes with enough yeast and yeast activator to make are least 3-4 gallon batches. (After our first batch ferments - we will decant it into bottles for aging, and mix up another batch so we can start a rolling stock.) My little prison brewer said it is recommended to add a little fruit to the mixture as well as food for the yeast and to improve flavor - he prefers raisins or lime peel. Sufficient honey to make the mead is not CHEAP - we spent about $30 for one batch - but hey, it is fun to be a mead moonshiner.. When your kids reach adulthood, it becomes more challenging to find interesting things to do together. This is one of the projects we can share while they get older. BTW - since the mead is not ready yet, ratings are based on fun, not flavor
