Very effective and tough! Loud but not annoying.
Very fun and amusing. It’s got an alarm sound that should be very difficult to get tired of. UPDATE: It seems you have unlimited snoozes. You have to double tap the alarm button to both make sure you turn it off to stop it from snoozing bc if you keep hitting snooze it will keep snoozing, the second tap on the double tap is obviously to turn it back on for the next morning! Awesome product! I think I’m going to love waking up to robot 🤖 sounds. 😆 Also not sure if you saw it in the video but it does flash. Also any button you press will turn the screen light on, I recommend only touching the snooze button so you don’t accidentally turn off the wheels or alarm by pressing those. ✅

Nice Basic Robot
I needed help. I like to sleep, and sometimes things like work get in the way of my sleeping. In general I enjoy alarm clocks of various sorts. Rather, I should say, I have had alarm clocks of various sorts, since I get used to them and then I just turn them off and go back to sleep. I would get to the point that I could get up, walk across the room, turn off the alarm clock, and go back to bed. Or I would just hear the alarm and ignore it until it stopped. With some alarm clocks this can take 10-20 minutes. This is the mark of a true professional Sleeper, like myself. When Clocky arrived, I was skeptical, but the little robot looked quite friendly. With the operating manual, everything was simple enough, and easily programmed. Clocky came to me all the way from China, but he was the genuine article. I set him down on the bureau in my bedroom. "Hello, Clocky!" I said. He was silent. "Clocky, is the alarm active?" Still, no reply. He was not very friendly to start out. Very quiet. Not like Siri. I double checked him, and everything seemed to be operating properly though. Well, the next morning at 5 am, he suddenly broke the silence. My god, he was speaking in tongues at top volume. The constant variation in tone, pitch, and pattern was disconcerting, even ... alarming. I literally leapt out of bed and walked over to where the little robot was whirling about. A gentle pat on the head soothed him instantly, and he quieted down. I went back to sleep promptly, only to be awakened mere minutes later when he let out another series of cacophonous wails. Again I ran over to him. Now he had hopped down on the floor, and had got part way under the bed. This time I picked him up firmly and poked him in the right eye. He quieted down in a hurry. I was wide awake now, heart racing. I could almost hear Clocky saying: And why consider the mote that is in my eye, but not the log in your own? He was quite right. I got up to face the day. The little robot has fast become an essential member of the household. No matter how many times his alarm awakens me, I never become accustomed to it. On one occasion, after jumping from the bureau, he developed a rattle, but a quick disassembly proved it to be a loose fleck of solder that had broken off, and all connections were in perfect order. Except for his piercing wail in the morning, he remains taciturn, but I think now this simply reflects his serious nature.

Don't.... just don't
I JUST WROTE A WHOLE REVIEW AND THE APP QUIT ON ME SO Y'ALL ARE GETTING THE TLDR VERSION OK I AM NOTORIOUS FOR SLEEPING THROUGH ALARMS SO PLEASE TRUST ME ON THIS: -do not waste your money or time -it worked for a couple months than crapped out on me (the interface started seeming a bit different and glitchy, and then the alarm itself stopped working, it would start the alarm tone at the correct time but after like 0.5seconds the noise would turn off and just end the alarm) -even though it did work, the way it woke me up made me so grumpy and angry that I would go back to sleep on purpose bc I could not start my day like that -it literally corroded the batteries in a matter of just a few months.... I've never seen that happen before unless the batteries have been in the device for years -currently am trying out the JALL wake-up light alarm thing and I like it so far, it has more features, (i think it could use a few more but im high maintenance) it uses not only noise to wake you up but also manipulates your natural sleep/wake cycle (circadian rhythm->pineal gland->melatonin->ecetera) to allow for a more peaceful awakening. AGAIN, COMING FROM A NOTORIOUS ALARM-SLEEPER-THROUGHER: I'm not joking the brightness of the light makes a chemical difference in your brain to help you wake up easier (and trust me on this bc I spent years learning crap like this with my bio/human science major and psych minor) so I guess this isn't TLDR REALLY but if you wanna join me on my search for the perfect alarm and want to SKIP THIS USELESS STEP, you can meet me at the next step with the Jall wake up alarm thing with the bright light and we can suffer through this together

Neat & effective
My quick review... it's much smaller than i thought it would be...i don't know why, but personally, from the pictures it always seemed like it would be a clunker...it's actually rather small & quaint!...and the almond color makes it somewhat elegant-looking. i did not have problems with the battery compartment as others did... it's a slight inconvenience to have to use a screwdriver to replace the batteries, but at the same time i can feel assured knowing that the batteries will remain securely in place... as far as the main reason you would purchase this item, here's my take: when the alarm goes off.. 1) it doesn't "run" far from you 2) it makes neat "R2D2" noises at a pretty decent volume (would be rather difficult for the average person to sleep through) 3) it's difficult to locate the snooze button quickly while it's moving/beeping, and 4) it's difficult to locate the tiny button to turn the alarm off while it's moving/beeping. ...BUT--these are all GOOD things!!... it means you have to actually be somewhat conscious and focus your mind a bit in order to turn the darn thing off...so even though you don't have to chase it very far, after you've grabbed it, it's the process of turning it off that actuallywakes you up!...(at least that's the way mine worked)...and at that point, you're now somewhat awake and therefore more likely to stay up than try to go back to sleep!!...hence, Clocky has done its job! (FYI Sidenote: my Clocky takes about a 3-foot drop from a dresser next to my bed onto a carpeted floor) the caveat here is that obviously everyone's sleep patterns/behaviors are different... If it helps, here's my personal "sleep background:" i typically leave the house by 7:00-7:30a M-F for work...i have ALWAYS had a hard gime getting up in the a.m. & also have a sleeping disorder which exascerbates things..i have tried many different methods over the years (some technical, some traditional) to try & help me get up on time...i even bought (& later returned) the $175 SleepTracker Pro watch, but it did not help me (it was quiet, i was still tired when i woke up, and it was way too easy to turn the thing off and go right back to sleep). another good thing about Clocky is that you can only snooze once....that's another part of my problem: i always snooze...as i describe it: the nightime "me" says "i'll allow myself to snooze once--and only once--in the a.m."...however, the morning "me" throws that right out the window without remorse and snoozes repeatedly-- on at least one occasion, i snoozed repeatedly for 2+ hours... realize that all of the opinions i've offered above stem from one use thusfar...today was my first morning waking up with Clocky...however, i have to say i'm surprisingly optimistic about "him" helping me with my recurring problem. i actually forgot to re-enable the snooze function last night, so i was extra confused this morning, but tomorrow i will begin my first real "standard" usage of it... if my opinion of Clocky later depreciates upon further useage, i will update this review accordingly. hope this helps.

Wonderful Alarming Bot
This is the cutest, loudest, ballistic out of nowhere robot a person with oversleeping tendencies could ask for. It's hilarious, just not so much first thing in the morning! My first Clocky was in early 2017 and it lasted nearly 5 years before falling asleep for good. A family member gifted me a knock-off brand as a replacement, but it just wasn't the same. The buttons were harder to push and the batteries were always falling out. It went kaput after just a year, which is when I bought the real deal again. Some of my current specimen's antics are featured in the video (best with sound). The Clocky's convulsions and blaring beeps and bloops will send the average person scrambling to stop it. Unfortunately, at times, I get up just to turn the alarm off in a trance and go back to bed. I'm not sure if there's a way around this, as there needs to be a way to turn it off, so it is a habit I am trying to break. The only true downside is that it uses 4 lithium batteries, which is significantly pricier than alkaline batteries. Overall, this is a sound investment that I recommend for anyone who has trouble getting out of bed!

Can I change the alarm sound? It’s horrendous
So, this is not really an extra loud alarm clock AND, it’s not regular alarm noises. It’s more like a robot or so random noises that are not quite loud enough to wake the kid (if a deep sleeper) but to wake me as a mom. (I wouldn’t mind if they sound wasn’t horrendous.) the rolling part of it works great and if it was regular alarm sound this would be a perfect alarm clock for heavy sleepers. It was easy to set up.

Finally solved my husband’s oversleeping problem
Clocky has been a game changer for my husband. He used to oversleep almost every day and was always late to work. Since we got Clocky, he wakes up on time and much more energized. Having to chase it to turn it off actually gets him moving right away!

Finally Something Strong Enough to Wake My Deep-Sleeping Kid
My six-year-old told me very seriously that he’s a “deep sleeper” and needed something really strong to wake him up in the morning. We decided to try Clocky, and honestly, it’s been both hilarious and effective. The first morning, the alarm went off and Clocky immediately rolled off the nightstand and started zooming around the room. My son had no choice but to jump out of bed and chase it — and it actually worked. He was awake, laughing, and definitely not snoozing. The alarm is loud (in a good way), and the fact that it physically runs away means there’s no chance of hitting the snooze button by accident. It’s become a fun part of his morning routine, and he actually looks forward to “catching” his alarm clock. For kids or adults who sleep through regular alarms, this is a clever little solution.
