This fire back really works, doubles the heat output of your fireplace.
Bought this for my first fireplace in my condo. I had never heard of a fireback, as i had never had a fireplace. But since reading how to get more heat from your fireplace, was to use a fireback. This one is very inexpensive and works really well. It feels like it has doubled the heat output of my fireplace. I have ad to adjust it to fit my smaller fireplace, but now it works very well.I will say that the black paint has come off due to the high heat from the duralogs that i use. But the soot from the logs is enough to make a matte black coating on the fireback which is nice to look at instead of the bare metal. I also like the metal legs which allows the fireback's angle to be adjusted.

Works better than advertised!
We bought the smallest plate and it works like a charm! Heat is reflected into the room easily 4X better than before! Delivery is faster than advertised. You don't need to angle plate forward, works fine straight up! If you have a fireplace you need this product!

Increases heat but double check dimensions of fireplace
The product did increase the heat output. I would recommend to definitely take into consideration your grate height you’re using and the dimensions of your fireplace. Getting the desired angle in the holder takes up some space from the back that I didn’t originally think of. Also it is smaller than I was thinking, especially with the added height of the wood when in the grates. They do list the dimensions but just take these extra factors into consideration. Overall heat output I did notice a few degrees as well as an added distance where you can feel it, but it’s not an overpowering difference. I’d still recommend it based on those factors.

Amazing product
Super lightweight and easy to set up. And it increased the warmth from the fireplace by over 5°. Delivery was much faster then was said too.

Desintigrating shield!!!!!!
Poor quality here, just after one fire there's no black paint on this shield and does not reflect any more heat than without it. Don't waste your money.
