Terrific Title from Garphil Games
This game is phenomenal.Such a great solo game.Very crunchy decisions. Every turn makes you think about how you can accomplish more than your opponents (or the cases I played, the AI).And on the then note of AI, this game has one of the more compelling and challenging solo variants I've ever played. Right up there with Dune Imperium.A wonderful game. Gorgerous art as always from the Micco. Love every part of it.My only cons would be that:- the box is way too small. Whoever thought this was a good idea was not in their right mind.- I would hesitate gifting this unless it's for someone you know already wants it. It's a fairly heavy game, and not suitable as an average gift.- The game is tougher to learn than other Garphil games. It's definitely more complex, and thereby not that easy to learn. But once you have a grasp of the mechanisms, it flows like butter.A great buy.

Heavy thinker
Not the heaviest of games but has enjoyable combo mechanics. You really need to plan your turn out from the very first action of the round. A good twist on worker placement/ action selection. Great iconography and of course art, especially if you've played either of the other two West Kingdom games . A little abstracted and not much player interaction. Definitely more of a multi-player solitare but a really fun one at that.I've played the other two and this one is definitely the heaviest of the series, followed closely by Viscounts. I enjoy how a lot of the actions are interconnected.

One of the best board games in this century!
This is one of those games where I look back and say what a great game and after every-time I play it again, it’s a ten out of ten. This is a master piece of a game but looks so darn hard to get and to heavy to understand. Though these things are true, one thing this game does so perfectly is the symbology. Everything clicks on that first game and then you feel exhausted but dang it, you loved it. This game does something I think a lot of games should where it makes you feel clever with its mechanisms and constantly allows choices that are almost all too good, but you must choose one. This is one of the best games in my collection and I suggest anyone who even seems appealed to it to dive in give the rules a good read and then boom! It’ll click. This is in my top ten board games of all time. I suggest people who want a brain burning game to try it and to even people who seem interested in it to try it cause after a game you will feel that, but your brain will thank you for making you feel smart and clever.

Great game
I love this game. It’s easy to pick up, but hard to master, but fun the whole time. It’s theming and art are awesome and it works well. Great engine builder worker placement game.

A good game but not a great one.
Paladins is a good worker placement game with interesting tactical and strategic choices. Players who are familiar with Architects of the West Kingdom will be familiar with much of the iconography. The setup is time- (and table-)consuming, however. The scoring takes a while to figure out. While Paladins is a good game, for me and my group Architects is a much better one. Paladins doesn't have the same level of player interactions, being limited to placing a worker on a spot before your opponents can do so. If a game with less take-that than Architects sounds like a good thing to you then you will probably enjoy Paladins more than we did. This may all sound like a negative review but it is not intended to be. We enjoyed playing Paladins and would play it again. If the choice was between this and Architects, though, we would play Architects.

A Lot of Game in a Small Box
This is a great game design. Although the box is small there is a lot of game packed in that box. I love that the game is affordable yet deep. Good components, well-written rules. The best part of this game is the many choices that are presented. It leaves you with a feeling that you can do it better next time, but you won’t soon run out of options for how to optimize your points. One time through the game and the rules and options are very clear. After that you can concentrate on how to play it better. These designers have done something special here. There are some interesting dynamics here. While you need to specialize in order to win, you can’t do that without paying attention to other activities because those other activities are the key to enabling the places where you are focused.I and my gaming group are just getting started with this but we all felt like it would become one game that comes out regularly (like Agricola, Scythe, Terraforming Mars, and Terra Mystica). High praise indeed.

Great fun with good amount of complexity
I played this board game with my brother (and lost T_T). And it was really fun with a lot of complexity and strategy involved. The first-time setup might take a while, but the gameplay is worth it. The quality of the boards and cards is great for this price point.

Love these games (West Kingdom and North Sea)
I love these games and love the artwork. I give this game 5 stars, for sure... but my copy of the game come with a broken piece and a missing piece. Though this dismays me, I can't let it take away from my overall review of the game. I am hoping that getting replacements isn't going to be a hassle (and generally isn't with other publishers)EDIT: Just got my replacement pieces from Renegade publisher! No hassle at all! 5 star rating remains in effect! The only "warning" I will give is that you will NEED a large play area for this game, for 3+ players will take up ALL the table space :P
