Pet MD Wrap A Pill Cheese & Bacon Flavor Pill Paste for Dogs - 4.2 oz

I have to crush my dog's pills and this stuff is great to put the powder in. I can wrap it inside and mold into a ball. They stay moist so I can make up a bunch at a time. I get 22 out of a can. I have to fit 2 crushed pills inside. Dog loves the taste, has had no side effects, and pill taking is not a chore anymore. It's not cheap but worth it because it works.

My dog enjoys this pill wrap and it doesn't bother his stomach. He needs to take a few kinds of pills but has days where he feels sick so he gets picky. This wrap was really easy to use and we haven't had any issue with his GI track with these. He is allergic to chicken so finding something that he can have is hard. This reminds me of a thick uncooked cookie dough and can be formed around the pill. He's excited again to take his meds which makes the mornings a little easier.

My dog loves this and easily takes her medication with it, which is most important. In addition to that, it’s easy to use and doesn’t leave my hands all greasy like some of the “pill pocket” type alternatives do. I scoop out a small amount with a plastic knife and form it around the pill, easy peezy. Finally, they also have really great customer service which I appreciate! I sent a message asking about some white specks on the top of the paste when it arrived and they wrote back shortly after explaining that it’s just tiny pieces of the wheat flour used in the manufacturing process.

I LOVE this product! My dog loves it too! Its very easy to use and allows you to use as much or as little as you need according to the pill size. The consistency is similar to play doh. Also, it's chicken free---perfect for dogs with poultry allergies.

I bought this paste for my dogs because they are very picky about the treats that hold their medication. We have tried other paste options and pill pockets before, but nothing seemed to work consistently. This paste took the guessing game out of finding treats my dogs will actually eat when taking their medicine. Now it is much easier for them to take their meds and I do not have to worry about finding treats that work. The paste is strong enough to hold larger medications easily. Even though it holds its shape well, it is still soft enough for my dogs to chew. I also have an older dog who has lost some teeth, and this paste is easy for him to eat. The paste is easy to roll around the pills and it does not take much to fully cover even larger tablets. My dogs do have sensitive stomachs, but the ingredients in this paste have worked well for them so far and have not caused any issues. I only have two minor complaints. First, the paste can leave your fingers a bit oily and smelling strongly of bacon. Second, I really wish the product came with a small spoon or scoop. I currently use my fingers to dig out the paste, which is not my favorite. Overall, this has been a great value for the price and has made giving medication to my dogs much easier. I would highly recommend it for anyone struggling with pets that refuse to take their pills.

I can not say enough good things about this. My blue heeler started having seizures 8 months ago and has been put on medication twice a day. I will definitely say the cheese and bacon flavor is the way to go. We tried all of them and they are all different consistencies. The peanut butter one is super greasy and the bacon one is really dry and crumbly. As you can see, Nova loves the taste and when she finishes eating she’s waiting and ready for her pill making sure I don’t forget lol. It doesn’t smell bad. It doesn’t dry out in the container. Every Sunday I go ahead and prewrap all of her pills for the week and put them in a pill organizer so it’s quick. They hold up just fine. Don’t dry out or peel away at all. The paste is super easy to work with and a little goes a VERY long way. She gets one decent size tab in the AM and one and a half in the PM. The small container size lasted I believe over a month. (The container pictured is the bigger container. We ordered a small of each flavor then ordered a large of the cheese and bacon after trying them all and liking this one the best.) I definitely recommend this stuff. This what we’ll be using from here on out with her medication!

I have been giving my lab pills for years unfortunately. We have tried different pill pockets and I got to the point I would pinch off what I needed from the pill pocket so I wasn't using the whole thing every time. Given. She gets three doses of meds everyday, I thought I would give this a shot. This flavor is the first one I tried by Pet MD and was pleasantly surprised how well it worked. I like that I have control over how much I use to cover the pills. I decided after having good luck with this flavor that I would try the peanut butter. The peanut butter didn't work nearly as well as the bacon and cheese. This one is just the right consistency to cover the pills and I don't need a whole lot to cover them. I know that she likes the flavor, but after all, labs typically eat anything that you give them or that they find! I'm so glad that I gave this a shot. I use a toothpick to bring up just a small amount of the product to cover the pill so I don't get any stuck under my fingernails. The only thing that might be nice is if they had one or two more flavors.

This helped a ton giving medicine to a sick cat which was refusing to eat or take medicine. We used it to wrap up pills which were being cut in half, which also helped to cover up the icky power/residue that would otherwise get in their mouth and must taste awful. It also made the pill easier to swallow - we took just a tiny bit of water and dabbed in on the outside of the cheese wrap, which made the surface slick and easier to swallow. After we started using this, the sick kitty fought us far less when it came time to take his medications. The only minor issue we had, which was no fault of the wrap whatsoever, is that it made the pill a bit bigger and therefore harder to "mount" in the pill popper and would sometimes pop out if it was bumped even the slightest bit. A pill popper which is a hair bigger or has slightly more rubbery/stretchy tip helps a good bit for this issue, we also found it helped to make a small extra "bump" in the cheese wrap to help it stay in place. Very, very helpful product.
