Globe Electric HZ-4300-BK Ceiling Motion Light, Black, Bulb Not Included

We hung this light up in our garage 4 yrs. ago and is still working wonderfully. It has motion detection so when we arrive home and push the button in our vehicles to open the garage door, the light comes on. The minute we walk into the garage from our house, the light come on. We needed more light in the center of our garage and it works perfectly. You can also adjust the length of time you want the light to stay on after detecting motion. Was a great asset to our garage. Very easy to put up. Would buy again.

Great fit, quality, looks, and performance. You will need to get LONGER MOUNTING SCREWS if you are going to mount this on a vinyl porch ceiling. The included screws are about 3/4" too short. Get the longer screws before you start the job and your install will take about 15 minutes. This is a pretty good light. It's solid - glad it's glass and not plastic. It has a nice, updated look. It was a bit tricky initially getting set-up with the testing/deciding what settings we wanted. But, after installed, I'm pretty happy. We had trouble at first because we were using regular (non-Dimmable) led lights, but I exchanged for 25W Candelabra Dimmable from Wal-mart and they work great. They provide a very white, clean look - great for security. I do wish the motion turned on a little earlier than it does - I have to be about 10 foot from my front door for it to turn on, but it's still great - hopefully it lasts - time will tell!

Update as of 12/11/17:Ok, I am leaving my original review below but this morning I walked out on the front door and the light came on as I stepped out like it is supposed to. I put up the outdoor Christmas lights yesterday when I installed the light but I forgot to correctly set the timer so they were not on this morning like they were supposed to be. It is the Christmas lights that are causing the light not to work properly. I am going to go ahead and move this to five stars to compensate for the initial one start review yesterday but I will revisit this if it no longer warrants five stars as it has still only been less than 24 hours since it was installed.Original Review 12/10/17:I can sometimes get it to work in test mode by changing the switches but when I put it on 1 min or 5 min, it will not work. I tried turning off for 1 min and waiting 1.5 min like it said in the manual but I still can't get it to work. Power is good because it always works when I turn the dimmer option on, just not with the auto off mode. I did buy the LED lights that it recommended when I purchased it but I did not realize at the time that the onlin specs refer only to incandescent lights. The manual does not mention either incandescent or LED and the online description says incandescent but it does not say that LED will not work. And, others seem to be able to get it to work with LED and it is sold as a bundle with LED lights. However, I have ordered some incandescent bulbs to see if that will fix the problem it before returning it. I don't think it will because it seems to be more of a short circuit issue as the problem is not predictably reproducible in terms of even getting it to work in test mode. However, maybe it is the LED lamps are causing the issues.

I had this light at my last home. It worked great. I moved and installed a new one. It never seemed to work right. It always come on and no motion, and them start to go on and off at intervals with no motion present. called support and was sent a new one. Worked for a week and started its crap. I must say they were white in color to match the outside ceiling. I do not understand why but I purchased one more black in color and it worked perfectly as it should. I don 't have a explanation why it worked. Good luck with your first one. It is a great light.
