I use this as a stand for a second laptop (I need both a Mac and a PC) and it is by far the slickest and best solution that I have found. I tried a couple of other stands, and this one looks the best, has the best functionality and it is incredibly easy to assemble and use. Now if you are planning to type on this stand all day, it might not be for you...while this stand is more stable than the others I've tried, it still wiggles a little when typing. I don't type on the computer itself, I have a separate keyboard, so it is not an issue for me, but no stand like this will be that supportive of the computer. The spring clips work well, it is easy to adjust and it just works. It took me a few tires, but I have found my solution to needing to get my computer off my desk.

Pretty stable and level

This is a well designed sturdy mount. Screw down base and adjustable arm are rock solid. Used for holding new 13" MacBook Air. Keeps laptop secure. Adjustable for all angles. Mounting clamp is well built with a large surface grip area and holds securely. No worries of it coming off. Nice slim arm design. Not thick like others out there. Great for the space conscious. Cable management is also nice. Comes complete with all the tools, laptop tray and monitor mount including all screws. Quick and easy assembly and adjustment. Packaged well. Would highly recommend and buy again. You can't go wrong with this item.

Now that work-from-home is winding down (unfortunately), it suddenly occurred to me that not having my work life taking up our living room would be nice. I had been using a sad tray table and working from our couch (very confortably). I since added a bluetooth keyboard and mouse so my laptop is really just a monitor.Anyway, I thought I could attach this to a side table and then be able to swing the laptop away when I'm not working or using it. I think it would mainly have worked for this purpose except for a few challenges in my space: a) side table didn't have quite a big enough lip. I thought I could get away with clamping most of the arm, but I don't think this would really work long term without sometimes getting loose and wobbling. Not the fault of the product. b) our sofa is quite large with very tall and wide arms and this meant that the arm really didn't reach far enough for me to sit looking forward while looking at the laptop.The other issue worth considering is that whatever you clamp to is going to need to be much lower (6" to a foot?) than where you want your screen to sit. I clamped it to a table that's about at my shoulder height when I'm sitting. This meant that the arm, fully extended, held the screen above my head. I had to look up to see it, which I think would have been a bad idea long-term. So, be aware of the height of your table relative to the screen location.As far as materials, it seemed pretty solid to me. Since I was using the laptop holder, it was easy to put together. Some but not all of the parts are metal.All in all, I would recommend to a friend, but really get them to think about where it would go and how it will be used.I'm returning this for a pricier rolling adjustable-height table with a pivoting top for a laptop. I probably should have sprung for it a year ago, but you know how it is.

I love this mount stand!I set this onto a side table nest to my recliner to use as a holder for my IPad.I am an avid reader and use Kindle Unlimited. With the Kindle app I am able to read from my IPad.This mount is perfect for me. I can read without having to hold the IPad and with it's swivel arm, I can swing it away from me when I need to get up off of the recliner. I have also used this with my laptop and it works very easily.The stand is super easy to put together, and adjusts to any hight you may need. I am so glad I purchased this product, it was worth the price!

I purchased this arm for the purpose of a laptop. My lap top is 13 or so inches. I took the laptop holder and flattened it at 180-degrees and used the 360-function of my laptop to act as a monitor. My favorite aspect of this arm is the tiny, but very important detail: the cord holder. It is actually a hard piece of plastic, it looked malleable in the pictures, but its actually solid. It snaps off, it is removable. You can place your cords inside of it and it will snap back on.For those wondering if this is going to be high enough for you? Yes. It's almost too high for me, and forces me to sit with good posture.I think it is also important to point out that it is not perfectly straight head-on. There is a slight lopsided-ness to the screen depending on the side (right or left) you clamp the arm on. Have that expectation in mind when you purchase this - but also know that it is adaptable and I do not notice it after two weeks of use. I mean, it is BARELY there. I do not think you will achieve a perfectly even, aligned arm display unless you clamp it directly in front of you - which is not always practical to do.Overall, 5/5 purchase, met my expectations of displaying my laptop and decluttering my desk top.

Overall its a decent product, I do feel its a bit overpriced as there are many other options on Amazon. Assembly was easy and it works as intended. I did receive a heavily blemished product, might have been a return. Might return in a week or so, depending on how it holds up.

Just what I was looking for. A very sturdy arm that would hold the laptop while giving enough space to work under it, or to put it aside. Very easy to assemble, very easy to move. It is all aluminum. 100% recomended.
