Knaive KD3 Parts (Matches The KD3 Magnetic Adapter)

I've been using the D3 kit in the living room with just the power supply for several months without any issues.I bought this part in hopes of being able to use the same piece in the MacBook to connect to the CalDigit TS3 in my office, but they're not compatible. The TS3 has a 4K monitor, hard drive, headset, and Ethernet connection, and plugging it directly into the PD port powers the laptop and all the things attached to the dock.When I plugged the adapter into the cable and tried using the magnetic connection, it powered the laptop - but none of the things connected to the dock worked. They weren't even recognized by the operating system.For power only, I'd give it 5 stars. However, I'm knocking off two stars because it's not working as a true bi-directional power and data connection as advertised.

Had the full set for about a year, it is so convenient to be able to grab my laptop without having to plug and unplug a connector, and it must save a lot of stress on the usb-c socket on my laptop.I have a 4K monitor, 2 USB hard drives, USB gigabit Ethernet and a few other usb devices and it all works flawlessly.I recently purchased a spare power supply so being able to get this part of the set separately was very convenient.

The product does work well but it does block one of the USB C ports on my MacBook Pro. Worth it because I frequency move my laptop and reconnect at other locations. For it's intended purpose .. it works extremely well.

After a few months of use for image signal and for charging, it stopped sending image signal to the external monitor and now it can only charge my Macbook Pro.

As advertised, fast shipping

Really was hoping this would be the solution to the lack of MagSafe on my new MacBook Pro. It does work OK, but the magnet isn't quite strong enough to hold the cable in place for most situations. Extra star for the post purchase support by the company - it was really fantastic.
