Are the molly long enough for hollow wall 1" thickness

If you buy 1.5 inch long, it will do it

So how would you get anchors out of the wall or ceiling if you don't need this anymore?

I have used 2 ways that will work. You can either enlarge the hole around the anchor and using pliers pull on the screw until the anchor comes out of the wall or using a hammer, push the whole thing inside the wall then patch the hole. I hope this helps.

Can these be used on a plaster wall?

Yes, if you drill a hole all the way through, but if there are wooden slats behind the plaster there might not be room to get the toggle in!
