The item came in a cardboard box, and within the box was a sealed bag with the calculator inside. The calculator was in its regular store plastic, which is impossible to open without scissors.My fear going in was I couldn't see what model the calculator was from within the packaging. I only ordered this item because I wanted the G2 revision of the calculator, as I already have the G1 version (that should tell you how much I love the calculator).After cutting open the plastic, I checked the back of the calculator and was relieved that it was, in fact, the G2 model (model number 2AP18AA and hardware revision D), meaning the name of this listing is correct. It was also brand new and perfect out of the box, so I am very pleased with the seller/purchase.I believe this is the most powerful calculator, with some of the most useful features thanks to the touch screen. I would recommend it over many TI calculators, unless your class heavily integrates TI calculators into its textbook. However, there is a massive learning curve that I am still learning.

This calculator works well for high school students and up without issues if using textbook or algebra mode. Most people are not used to RPN so that will a significant amount of time to learn and master (hopefully that will not discourage people from learning it). It performs really fast for most computation needed in day to day school calculations ad graphing. Do hope that in future iterations (if there is one since HP sold off this division) the screenresolution is improved. There seems to be a wireless connectivity option but his only to connect to an HP specificdevice so it would be nice if in the future this was to a regular wifi network. The keys are definitely a plus for this calculator. It is easily the best among its competitors and what gives this device a feel of quality.The "G2" label is on the back to check this is the version you intended to buy. Another way to check is bylooking for the amount of memory from the info screen.The packaging for this device is way more difficult to open compared to the competition so need to be careful not to get cut. As for the contents, a calculator like this would benefit from a paper manual but you will have to find the pdf online instead. Also, there is only -one- cable. For the price it would have been nice to include the calculator to calculator cable.Side note: There is an Android and IOS app that mimics the look and feel of the calculator, which is nice. However, at least for the IOS app, it is expensive relative to competitors. Additionally, the app does not take advantage of the whole screen real estate which is a missed opportunity. There is a free version that can be used to "test drive" before you buy the calculator.Overall, I would recommend the calculator over others (but then again, I like their calculators so biased). It is disappointing that they don't include the additional cable for connecting to another calculator at this price point.
