Solid crimper; easy to use, and convenient. The labelled cable guide is nice for those of us running cable only once in a while; much nicer than printing the color guide. I had no issue with two different FTP and STP CAT6a runs, and bandwidth of the completed cables has been great.

I bought these along with a bag of the pass through RJ-45 connectors. I put them on the tool bench after the re-wiring due to moving our office in the house from one room to another was complete. Basically, forgot about them. Recently, I need to add a new Wi-Fi AP to the house and was struggling with the old style connectors I had. I remembered these and their associated connectors. Went down to the tool bench, picked up the bag of connectors and the tool, and in the time I was struggling with a pair of terminated cables to be built and tested, I was able to finish the entire project and move on to other things. These pass through connectors are great and this tool is a MUST buy if you get the pass through RJ-45 connectors as it crimps and trims the wires coming out business end of the connector perfectly. It's worth ever dime. If you use pass through RJ-45's get this tool. It's that good. I'll still keep my other crimper as it can do 2,4,& 6 pair wire crimp RJs easily. I'll struggle making those ends but for RJ-45s, this is my tool. Period.

Having switched to passthrough RJ45 connectors for Ethernet wiring jobs around the house I always had trouble trimming the ends - could never do a good job with a pair of scissors or a knife and the little RJ45 plug would never fit nicely and keep falling out. I have resorted to using rubber bands and tape to keep those little Ethernet plugs in!! After almost cutting my finger off trying to trim the ends the other day with the sharpest knife I could find, I thought there has to be a better way. So I looked on eBay and Amazon and saw that they did make inexpensive crimper tools that crimp the ends AND cut the wires sticking out of the RJ45 passthrough connector. I didn't want to wait 6-10 weeks for the eBay one to arrive, so saw a similar one and a similar price on Amazon. It arrived in 2 days. Crimper tool looks well made and very sturdy. More importantly when I used it the first time I had tears of joy! The end of my RJ45 passthrough wires were neatly cut !!! And I didn't have to risk losing a finger or stabbing my hand any more. I'm very pleased with it - wish I'd bought this thing years ago. Happy + would recommend!

A durable little tool that does exactly what it says it does at an affordable price. Fits comfortably in the hand and does the job of terminating a Cat5 or 6 cable quickly and easily.

If you watched a bunch of YT videos on how to make your own CAT cables you saw one tool consistently in videos that demonstrate the ease at which cables can actually be done, this is the one. With a supply of the pass through RJ45 plugs you can finger cramp your way through producing cables of any custom length. The easy reference color chart on the handle is a perfect addition to this tool, I used it for every single connector, easier than trying to look at your phone every time if you don't have a color printer. I was running 23AWG CAT 6A cables and its ease of use made the job easier as far as that process went, makes nice clean connections. Make sure to put your junction box weather plug and your strain relief boot on before starting wire stripping. Have good lighting when doing this other wise it leads to mistakes in the wire insertion. That is what the cable tester is for though.

I use these constantly for work! The pass through ends are a little more expensive, but it makes life a little faster and easier when I don't have to cut the wires to the perfect length before terminating ends. These let me visually verify wire orientation before crimping, then it cuts the excess from the end making perfect ends every time.

This crimp tool will only do eight pin connectors, but it does them very well. Quality product for the price.

Doesn’t crimp well, kept on having problems with 7&8. Should have red the bad reviews first as this was mentioned by another reviewer.

Easy to use and crimps really well, pushing the pins securely into the cores. I wish I had bought this a long time ago, it would have saved me a lot of hassle! It's sometimes a bit tricky to remove the RJ45 after crimping - the fit is snug, but this is the only issue, and not too difficult to work around.

This crimper has held up nicely for the six months since purchase. It is made of heavy high quality materials and in no way feels cheap or easy to break. There is no slop in the crimping action and terminates cables tightly and cleanly without applying a heavy amount of pressure.
