on an audi 2010 A5 w/MMI, what happens when you are using this device & the phone rings? does this device render the cars blue tooth useless?

Not necessarily. When calls come in on my 2011 S5 it stops the music, but the call comes in on the phone, not the car speakers. if you switch it to speakerphone it automatically switches back to regular phone. It's really annoying so I just turn off bluetooth at that point and use the speakerphone. It also periodically drops the bluetooth for 10-15 seconds maybe once every 15-20 minutes.

Derek, did you end up getting this? I have a 2008 GL450 with the stock 30pin iPod cable in the glove box. My worry is my stock adapter only works with my daughter's old iPod and not with her iPhone 4, so it seems to have limited connectivity.
