Yummmmm
Yes it's a little spendy BUT SO WORTH IT!!! I cooked 4 lbs of bison roast cut into chunks, with garlic, red onion, and half a jar of cassareep with 32oz of beef broth and a cup of water in a Dutch oven @ 375 for 3 hrs. Then dropped temp to 275 and threw in half a bag of baby carrots, for 1 hour. Served over rice. I topped it off with finely diced jalapeno and sweet red pepper, and sliced green onions. Sooo good!!! My husband raved about it all night!!

Amazing stuff.
This is by far the most umami thing I have ever tasted! After reading about pepperpot for years, I finally found this stuff on Amazon, and could find out what a real pepperpot tasted like. It is hard to describe just how good it tastes. I understand now why it is the national dish in Guyana. Simply amazing- the world's chefs are going to go nuts when they find this stuff, because it can go in any savory soup or stew. I can't wait to use it as a rub on bbq, in a pot roast, and mixed with melted butter as a sauce on everything. This is as close as you can get to magic in a bottle!

Delicious
My first attempt at Guyanese pepperpot was fantastic. My husband’s mind was blown. I put 4 star because of the “natural flavor” added. I can’t find clean sauce.

The Real Deal!
For many years there was a Jamaican restaurant that had a special ingredient that no one could ever find out what it was added to their jerk chicken and some other dishes etc oxtails. After visiting Jamaica last year one of the local’s told me to try the pepperpot seasoning in my Jamaican dishes which I did once I found this ingredient on Amazon, couldn’t find it anywhere else. This is the secret sauce ingredient that I had been searching for approximately 30 years.. a bit pricey for what you get however well worth it for the unique taste.

This is a fake - not Real Guyana Cassareep.
If you are looking for a bottle of cassareep to make a nice batch of pepperpot - stay away from this product. This is a watered down, adulterated bottle of possible meat seasoning which does not come anywhere close to Guyanese cassareep. As a native Guyanese who has made and eaten pepperpot countless times, I advise you to stay away from this product. It will mess your pepperpot dish up! I think it can be used as a marinade or meat seasoning successfully, but again, not to create a robust pot of pepperpot. Get something else!!

Perfect Christmas Casserole
Yes it was pricey, considering you can get it in Guyana for pennies. But as I'm in California, I was glad to have the experience of making traditional Guyanese pepperpot with this must have ingredient. It arrived quickly and oh the family was grateful for our Christmas casserole.

Same as in Guyana but expensive
I’m told by friend from Guyana this is the real deal that they also use. One bottle per recipe as there is not much in there. So, if used often, it will get expensive.
