The ONLY Burr Grinder Cleaner for Automatic Espresso Machines
All coffee shops clean their coffee grinders regularly. But to clean the grinder on a Super Automatic Espresso Machines with a built in coffee grinder, requires a complete disassembly of the machine. So they never get cleaned. So build up in the grinder to coffee system over time is a major issue. Because while professional coffee shops clean their grinders regularly with cleaning coffee bean tablets like these, they cannot be used in automatic espresso machines. Because they can clog them even worse, and just aren't made for automatic machines. A quick search will make it obvious that the standard coffee grinder cleaning products cannot be used in automatic machines. After a lot of research, we learned that these are the only burr grinder cleaning product that can be used in automatic coffee machines, and the only ones specifically designed to be used in automatic machines. We've used them for a few years now with two different Super Automatic Jura espresso machines. And Impressa S9 and the new Jura S8, and they works great, and no problems at all. The grinder works better and faster, and most important, they clean out the build up that will eventually clog your machine, and require a major service. Which is both expensive, takes weeks, and it's a total pain to box up the machine and send it in for service. So these are a must have part of regular maintenance to prevent that issue and keep your machine running like new. We only use them whenever the machine asks to be descaled, which is every few months or so. You just empty any beans in the machine, add a scoop of these tablets that are shaped like beans, and then make a few espressos until the cleaning beans are used up. And then add normal beans again, run a couple more espressos w/ the normal beans just to clean out any remnants of the cleaning beans, and walla, all cleaned and go to go. And these cleaning beans are safe to eat so no worries there- though they likely don't taste very good :) So if you're wondering if you need these, the answer is yes if you want to prevent an eventual clogging. And if these are the right product, we've used them and they work as advertised. I hope this helps!

Easiest method to clean superautomatics
First time using it to clean my eight year old Saeco superautomatic, it was easy to use. The cleaning tablets didn't leave any residue and the espresso brewed afterwards tastes just like new. There are more detailed instructions for the tablets on their official website, which provided a short informative video. This bottle can be used many times and will last for a while.

Lived Up to My Expectations
If you follow the directions closely, these pellets do a good job of absorbing oils and cleaning the blades.

it looks it does the job fine, but...
There's good news and the bad news and the bad one goes first: Bad news: This food-touching product is almost all-secret ingredients and made in a country (USA) with relatively lax food safety regulations for me. Most probably I'm overreacting but my trust in the product is not complete and thus it's not a five-star product. Good news: I decided to buy SuperGrindz because the grinder in my 8-year old automatic machine started making irregular noises, as if it was struggling. After one session, the sound is normal and I think I bought a few more years' lifetime just after the first application but we'll see how it goes. The flavor of the first "clean" coffee is noticeably but not unpleasantly different. I can't say if it's because of the product's flavoring (if any) or lack of stale bean particles. There are only pictograms as instructions and this is quite open for improvisation. I don't know if this is producer's intention or not. I used the prescribed amount, did not mix coffee beans with the product. To have longer grinding (and cleaning) cycles I brewed double espressos.

Nearly ruined my Saeco brewing unit, please be careful
i used it in my saeco automatic machine - i put a capful in the hopper and when i ground it to clean the oil off the grinder. the brew unit where the grinds fall into went into a crazy state. got an error message saying ‘too much coffee’ and it stopped. then the brew unit started making loud squeaking noises and was clear this product was affecting my machine. Had to remove the brewing unit, clean it all manually. and then i tried it again this time with a smaller grind size and same thing! I could feel the motor was fighting hard against the brewing unit that got stuck with this product . Please be very careful you doing ruin your machine and brew group.

Worked perfectly in my Jura D6. Potentially saved me $1000
I was nervous about putting these into my D6. But you clearly aren’t supposed to take that machine apart and after 6 months (I suppose 6x30x10 = about 1800 cups) the grinder was clearly clogged and coffee had a 50/50 chance of tasting awesome or like dishwater. I capful of these and a few passes with sacrificial coffee beans and we are back to a perfect machine. Couldn’t recommend more. Fantastic product.

Must-have for super-automatic machines
Product is so easy to use and really did a good job of clearing out the burrs on our older Jura Impressa x70, which has almost 27,000 cups on the cup counter. The hardest thing for us was trying to pick the right time to do the cleaning, since it's recommended to do it when the bean count is low, and grind until the pucks have no white flecks. Seattle Coffee Gear has a great instructional video if needed. Be sure to only use the SUPERGRINDZ product with superautomatics. There's also an Urnex GRINDZ product for standalone grinders, I use the GRINDZ product on our Sette 270, and it works equally well for standalones!

The grinder in my 20 year old Saeco Royale Professional (grind and brew all in one unit) machine was really acting up, it was a struggle to get the burr grinder to grind any beans unless on the largest grind setting. Often that would not work until I had done 2-4 grinding cycles, enough to fill the tamper. I have cleaned the grinder a couple of times (vacuumed it) but I had never done anything with the burrs themselves. I just happened to stumble on this product (thank you James Hoffman!) and it worked a miracle! I ran two cupfuls through the grinder, added the same beans that were giving me trouble back into the hopper and the grinder worked like new. AMAZING! I thought I was going to have to replace the whole grinding unit but this product, so far, has fixed the issue. I wish I had known about it years ago, it’s well worth the money. 👍👍 I also noticed the coffee now tastes noticeably less bitter, bonus! Note: this is the purple bottle, designed for this type of all in one machine. Do NOT use the yellow bottle in this type of machine, it could break it.

Noticed a bit of bitterness creeping into my Delonghi super auto coffees, discovered these for cleaning the grinder. Very easy to use - one cap of these beans and 2 caps of coffee beans and you just flush it all through the grinder. I've noticed the grinder is smoother and quieter since using so it must have been more gunked up than I realised. Bitterness has gone from the coffee, I guess it was old coffee bits stuck in there. Apparently you only need to use super grindz once every month/2 months so this will last ages
